Since it is a subtle self-tanner, make sure you cover your entire face evenly. To your second question, no - you do not need to be in the sun for this to work! The title says it all. I've been using this amazing product for more than a decade and the recent change has me flabbergasted. Sadly, a scent has now been added (who adds scent to a facial product?!?) that burns my eyes and lingers throughout the day. This once amazing product protected my face and neck from the sun's rays with SPF 20 while also giving me the perfect, soft, tanned look. It was an indispensable product all year round and now I find myself dreading its use. Please, please remove the scent and give us back the go-to beauty product we all know and love!!

I have been using this product for almost a month now, every day. I absolutely love how moisturized it feels after using this. I wish there was an untined version available. At first I really liked how it was making my face look a little tanned. The more I continue to use it, the spottier it gets. I now look like I am wearing a foundation too dark for my completion and that I don't know how to apply it. No matter what I try, I can't get an even coverage.

This prüft make my face tan in about three days. But a downside is it make my face breakout. I don’t know if it’s just not for me, but watch out for that. Other wise pretty good product.

It’s certainly not the highest quality face lotion, but it has SPF and gives good subtle color to my normally ghostly-white face. Smells like dirty socks after about an hour after applying, to my boyfriend and I’d discovery. But then it smells good again after a few hours lol. I can deal with that. It smells amazing right after application though!

Nice! I was searching all over online for an inexpensive way to make my face glow and have radiance so I can feel comfortable to not wear foundation when I leave the house. Vitamins C didn’t do a thing for my face. Came across this and tried it and wow I love it! Gives my face the boost of color and glow that it was needing. I’m mixed race but pretty light in skin color and my face can look very pale and dull. Works very fast I noticed a difference at day 2! Smooth and don’t break my face out or trigger my eczema. I don’t think I’ll go without this product ever again now! I use it once daily. Have twice a day at times when my face needed a little hydration. I have no foundation on in the photo! Only makeup is my cover girl tinted lip balm and my microbladed brows.

Very subtle color, which makes it hard to mess up. You might not notice a difference after one application, but after two or three you’ll notice a glow. I’m anemic and my skin is pale, so I started using this to look healthier and it works. I like that it has SPF too so I can use it instead of regular sunscreen every now and then. Doesn’t have a strong scent the way the other Jergen’s lotion does. As someone else said, a little goes a long way. Apply it to your neck and upper chest too, to make it look natural.

To be fair, it works well with tanning the face and matching the Jergens Instant Sun tanning mousse you use on the rest of your body! However, I noticed after using for a week, that it made my already sensitive combination skin like 5x drier. My facial skin has been very sensitive and dry lately and this seemed to make it worse. My skin appears peely and dried out now, and anything I put on it to try to moisturize it, causes a burning sensation. It’s not very effective in the long run, if you can’t keep applying it to keep up the nice bronze color due to the way it extremely dries out your face.
