Q: What is the difference between the Joie Ginger Rue and Mint Latch travel systems?

A: The infant car seats are the difference between the ginger™ and rue™ travel system and the ginger™ and mint latch™ travel system. One travel system has the mint latch™ car seat, which has integrated rigid LATCH connectors for easy installation without a base or with a seat belt. The other travel system has a lightweight rue™ infant car seat (7.8 lb) and an anti-rebound base.

A: This is a great question! The ginger and rue travel system does come with the rue anti-rebound base, which is very convenient for everyday use. However, you do not need the base to install the rue infant car seat! Rue can also be installed using the vehicle seat belt in a car or on a plane if you are traveling.

The best part about the ginger™ is that the stroller seat transforms into a pramette without any extra parts! Simply recline the seat all the way, tilt the seat back, and unbuckle the strap behind the calf support, and you have a perfectly positioned pramette for your tiniest buddy. This is a pramette, and it is NOT a bassinet.

A: Thanks so much for getting in touch! The ginger stroller comes with a set of infant car seat adapters. To attach the infant car seat, remove the stroller seat, connect the adapters to the stroller frame, and then attach the infant car seat to the adapters.

A: Thank you for your question! It's important to note that the rue infant car seat should not be used after 7 years from the date of purchase for safety reasons. On the other hand, the ginger stroller does not have an expiration date and can be used for as long as it remains in good condition.

I want to give this a 4.5 star rating honestly. It’s light weight, lighter than the one we have been using. The car seat fabric parts are nicely made and it is soft and cushion which I love. However, the end-piece where the legs rest i think it’s unnecessary. I feel like it’s in the way and my son has long legs that makes it seem a lil bit uncomfortable. For the stroller, it’s fashionable and handy. I love that. Just a minus here is that when it’s folded, it seems a lil bulky. And to fold and unfold it … it’s a process, especially, for a petite size like me. You gotta have a strong arm to feel comfortable when unfolding or folding it. Other than that, Overall, it’s a nice car seat and stroller.

I like that the seat lays fully down, which is perfect for my newborn so that he can sleep comfortably while on walks. It breaks down easily and is fairly lightweight. I wouldn’t rank it #1 overall, because I do have another stroller and car seat for a different company that I use and enjoy, but it’s much more pricy than this. In its price category - I don’t believe there a better option.

Nothing worse than carrying your chunky six month old baby in a heavy car seat. The car seat is super comfy. Click onto the stroller easily. The only con was I struggled with adjusted the straps for the stroller. This travel system has all the features of a high end stroller at a low to mid price range. Highly recommend it.

Now, to assemble the stroller is pretty straight forward. This travel system is so well put together, top notch quality and very comfortable for your little bundle of love from baby age to toddler age. The stroller glides easily on the road, its compact and lightweight not bulky at all. We have an Evenflo Omni Plus and it’s very bulky compared to this one. The car seat is so comfy and lightweight. I can easily hold it compared to the Chicco bravo we used to have. Overall, I really advise people to get this travel stystem for the price range. Totally worth it!

The packaging was pretty standard but the versatility of the stroller and car seat are why we got this! It does just about everything you could ask for. First thing I noticed when I opened the box and pulled out the stroller was the clean scent. All in all this is a lot of value for the money and we are happy with it!

It doesn’t have a strong scent. It does its job well. The only thing I didn’t like too much is the seat adjuster. It doesn’t lock and stay still. It moves a little. I don’t know if that bothers anyone but to me I didn’t like that part. Besides that I love the stroller.

The Rue car seat clicks in securely and feels incredibly safe. The latch connectors made installation straightforward, and the anti-rebound bar gives me added peace of mind. I also really appreciate the removable inserts—they’re soft, supportive, and will definitely grow with our baby. The canopy is another thoughtful touch, especially for protecting sensitive skin on sunny days. With a summer baby on the way, I am so glad that this canopy is built in. I purchased this stroller system for my third baby. I was super excited to research and pick something different from what I had with my other two but I’m slightly disappointed. We used the graco click connect with my other two and even though looks wise it wasn’t as trendy I wish I had stuck with that. The Joei one is super cute but doesn’t click as easily into the stroller as my graco one did. I just feel like overall graco has a better click connect system that doesn’t need additional pieces that seem flimsy

Car seat canopy doesn’t cover baby from sun and always pulls back down. The car seat on the stroller is to sunkenh in. The bassinet seat won’t let baby sit right unless I put some kind of support on his tush if not baby will be hanging with straps almost giving him a wendgy with those straps. Super uncomfortable?! If I can return this I would in a heart beat. Two months in and I hate it.

More cons than pros. Pros: adjustable handle bar and seat height great quality car seat Rides very smooth large tires and all terrain Cons: very big when folded with the seat not a one handed fold does not stand while folded canopy is very short on both carseat and stroller does not feel very sturdy, very wiggly I got it shipped and the box was damaged and the stroller had some scratches im not sure if that affected the sturdiness and standing fold but either way it’s not what I thought it would be.

This travel system makes it easy to transition and doesn’t add more heavy duty lugging around than necessary to our already tired bodies🤣 Another big plus for me was that the stroller doesn’t take up too much space storage wise, it fit perfectly well in the trunk of my sedan and even had some room left over for extra items. The whole system was easy to set up; it was pretty intuitive but the instruction manual and even videos were helpful for a confirmation. As far as maneuvering goes, this system steers well and handles decently. I took it on some bumpy sidewalks and there was pretty good shock absorption. Another big positive is the modern and sleek style. I have the black color which is a great classic neutral but all of the colors look fantastic. The design of the system appeals to a minimalist style and is really on trend. Overall this is a quality travel system for a really affordable price. I have tired a few other travel systems with higher price tags and this system holds its own against its competitors. I definitely recommend this brand and system to anyone looking for sleek, easy to use, lightweight, and affordable products for their little one!

The initial assembly was straight forward and the stroller is lighter weight while being sturdy enough to cart either my two-year-old or four-year-old with a smooth ride and comfy seat. I really appreciate the black/brown color scheme and the leatherette finish on the handle and lap bar which provides a sophisticated flare. While my kiddos are beyond the need for a bassinet-style seat in the stroller, I LOVE that this one uses the seat to convert to a bassinet without any other parts to purchase! Clever, thoughtful design and I wish I had this as an option rather than multiple seats when my kiddos were younger to save space and money on extra parts (2 under 2). Rating five start for the combination of stability, innovative design, ease of use, and sophisticated aesthetics.

I love how light it is compared to the others I have had. I didn’t realize how much of a positive difference being light was and just made things easier! Both the stroller and carseat are lightweight, the carseat base is easy to install, and the seat clicks into the base easily. I love how it looks, and the leather handles on the stroller are cute. The stroller has a super smooth ride, excellent turn radius, strong brakes, and good sun shade. The pramette feature is great for newborns who want to lie flat. I absolutely LOVE the hidden storage compartment in the bottom of the stroller! NEGATIVES: I don't like that there is only one cupholder; on other strollers, there are 1-2 child cupholders AND 1-2 parent cupholders. There is no snack bar for the child, and the one cupholder cannot be reached by the child. The way the stroller folds is awkward- it's lightweight, but cumbersome to carry. All in all, this travel system has all of the features you need, and looks chic, but has a few drawbacks.

This stroller has enough room to fit everything we need for our family traveling once expanded in the space below. This product offers a stylish color that is gender neutral, easy to clean and put together. The wheels come off to easy store and also comes with a clip on cup holder! The leather arm band is a plus that makes it feel buisnessy like I have a meeting to get to very demour.... The stroller itself as a whole is very light weight which is so helpful when someone is also carrying an older toddler or trying to close the van door with one hand and holding the stroller in another. Its possible with this stroller!!! The car seats detachment method from the front is also helpful as when removing your child from the stroller you are still facing them which is really nice! All smiles. :) Truly blown away by this product.
