Description

Nature’s answer to gentler infant digestion.

Hi, we’re Kendamil - proudly family-owned and crafted in Europe since 1962. For over 60 years, our team has been dedicated to raising the standards for infant formula with our signature recipes.

Kendamil Goat Infant formula is a naturally gentle formula for babies with sensitive digestive systems. Made with goat milk instead of cow’s milk, goat milk predominantly contains A2 beta-casein proteins, which match the proteins found in breast milk and have been shown to be easier to digest for sensitive babies. The A2 proteins in goat milk form smaller, softer casein curds, promoting gentler digestion. For infants experiencing digestive discomfort such as constipation, gassiness, and reflux, using goat milk formula may reduce the likelihood of these symptoms occurring, making it a natural alternative for infants with sensitive tummies.

Whole milk fats and lactose replace palm oil, soy, and corn syrups while creating a naturally creamy formula closer to breast milk and wholesome by nature.

Our award-winning formulas meet the highest standards for infant formula set forth by Europe and the United States, guaranteeing exceptional quality for your family.

Certified Vegetarian

Always consult with your healthcare professional if you have concerns that your infant is suffering from Congenital Lactase Deficiency.

Q: my daughter currently uses Kendamil Goat and they are out of stock everywhere in my area, would it be ok to substitute to Kendamil Organic?

submitted by Substituting formula - 9 months ago
  • A: Use the HotStock app to get notifications and keep an eye on shipping it to you from Target. That’s how I have been keeping on top of it. As soon as you get a notification it’s available for delivery add it to your cart and check out. You can get two at a time. This is how I’ve been able to keep up.

  • A: You may find increased fussiness but fed is best !

submitted byAlexa - 1 month ago
  • A: Hi and thanks for the great question. We can help you find the best option for your family. Yes, we recommend trying Kendamil Organic or Kendamil Classic. Like all of our formulas, they are both European-made with whole milk fats - each formulated to a whey:casein ratio to closely mimic that of breast milk. Plus, all of our recipes include our unique prebiotic blend of HMOs and GOS, with the addition of FOS in our Classic formula, and EU levels of plant-based DHA and ARA.

Q: Has anyone had problems with constipation in their baby? I started giving this milk to my baby from his first week of life, he was assimilating it well but pooping once a day and it is difficult for him to poop.

submitted by Aye - 1 year ago
  • A: This is normal for formula fed babies.

submitted byBabelfish - 1 year ago
  • A: Try adding a little organic blackstrap molasses to his bottles

  • A: Add a probiotic like biogaia

submitted byAlexa - 1 month ago
  • A: We always advise parents to consult with their child's pediatrician or healthcare professional before switching baby milk or introducing formula for the first time, particularly if their baby has feeding issues. If you decide to switch, it may take a little while for your baby to adjust entirely to new baby milk. We generally recommend a transition period of 7 - 14 days, during which you can gradually introduce the new formula.

Q: We are on day 5 of feeding Kendamil goat, and our 4.5-month-old has gotten worse every night, waking an hour after bed and screaming inconsolably for hours. Do we need to switch again? Every formula is the same to the pediatrician.

submitted by cr202 - 1 year ago
  • A: Hey new mom here to a 2 month old. We also experienced this for a few days and had to get gas relief drops for her to take a couple feedings a day. Don’t know if you tried that yet but would recommend.

submitted byKD - 1 year ago
  • A: The screaming is bc of the “well visits”….. not the formula.

submitted byJac - 11 months ago
  • A: Hi Cr202, We generally recommend a transition period of 7-14 days to allow your baby’s digestive system to completely adjust to a new formula, even if you are simply moving to another stage of the same formula brand. Gas, constipation, and fussiness are fairly common reactions to a new formula. Because of this, we recommend introducing the new formula gradually by slowly swapping bottles of the current or “old” formula with Kendamil, starting with the midday feeds first and not the feeds before bed. It can be a good idea to slowly introduce new formulas to allow for their tummy to adjust. We do recommend speaking to your healthcare professional before making any changes to your little one’s diet that you are concerned about.

Q: Is there a way to adjust the toddler goat milk formula to make it acceptable for a 5 month old? It is the only formula he will eat and it is constantly out of stock in the infant variety!

submitted by Hungry infant - 1 year ago
  • A: Hi Hungry Infant and thanks for the question. We would not recommend giving our Toddler milk to your little one if they are under 12 months old, as the nutrients in it are specially formulated for that age group. Please reach out to our team at enquiries@kendamil.com so we can provide some individual suggestions for you and your baby, based on their needs. Hope this helps!

Q: Hello , can the water be boiled via microwave for easy connivence for the teachers at daycare when they watch my 5 month old baby ?

submitted by May - 5 months ago
  • A: Hi May, thanks for the great question! We don’t recommend using a microwave to boil water for formula preparation as it can heat unevenly, create hot spots, and may not bring water to a proper rolling boil, which is important for safety. We advise following NHS guidance, which recommends using freshly boiled water (cooled no lower than 70°C/158°F) when preparing formula feeds. Various guidance here (NHS/WHO/FDA) suggests all feeds should: be used within 1 hour from the start of feeding, be used within 2 hours from preparation, and be used within 24 hours if cooled immediately and placed in the back of the fridge. We recommend preparing each feed fresh and on-demand as that is best practice and as per advised by the NHS. However, in any instance where this is not possible, where you need to transport a feed (for example, to a nursery), prepare the feed at home, cool under a running tap or in a bowl of cold water, and cool it for at least 1 hour in the back of the fridge. Take it out of the fridge just before you leave and carry it in a cool bag with an ice pack, and use it within 4 hours. If you do not have an ice pack, or access to a fridge, the made-up infant formula must be used within 2 hours. Let us know if you have any other questions - we’re always happy to help!

Q: Does Kendamil Organic help to lessen the eczema?

submitted by Rose - 10 months ago
  • A: Hi Rose, Whilst we know our products inside and out as all babies are different and there are a number of factors that could trigger eczema in a child we would always recommend speaking with your GP or healthcare professional for advice on treating this condition in your little one.

Q: The UK goat infant formula (0-6 months) has 0.7mg of iron, while the US formula (0-12 months) has 1.1mg of iron. Is that too much for my 2 month old? Should I purchase the UK version?

submitted by T - 11 months ago
  • A: The UK version is 0.7mg of iron per 100mL. While the US version is 1.1mg per 5 US fl oz. Converting the US version to mL would be approximately 1.1mg per 147.868mL. Being that the UK version’s ratio is 0.007mg/mL, we can then multiply by 147.868mL to obtain the amount of iron in mg. 0.007mg/mL * 147.868mL = 1.0351 mg or ~1.04mg. Seems there’s only a 0.06mg difference.

    submitted byUser1037 - 11 months ago
  • A: All of our formulas are fortified with iron and always have been as it is required to meet the growing needs of all infants. In the US the FDA requirement is that infant formula, regardless of manufacturer, should contain a minimum of 1mg per 100kcals and our Infant Goat meets this requirement at 1.1mg. I can assure you this is not 'too much', if you have any concerns please contact your pediatrician. Hope this helps!

  • A: We always advise parents to follow the NHS gold standard when it comes to bottle making. They advise that you should prepare each bottle with freshly boiled water, following the directions on the can, right before feeding. For guidance regarding Baby Brezza or any other prep machines we suggest you speak directly with the manufacturer. Hope this helps!

Q: Can you refrigerate the goats milk?

submitted by LYNETTE - 1 year ago
  • A: We always advise parents to follow the NHS (National Health Service) gold standard when it comes to bottle making. They advise that you should prepare each bottle with freshly boiled water, following the directions on the can, right before feeding. Once your little one has fed from a bottle any remaining formula needs to be discarded if not consumed within 1 hour. If you are preparing your bottles in advance for storage at home the NHS advise the following - in a fridge – use within 24 hours, in a cool bag with an ice pack – use within 4 hours, at room temperature – use within 2 hours. If you have further questions please reach out to our team of parents at enquiries@kendamil.com .

Hi Mustafa, Thanks so much for reaching out. We completely understand how stressful it can feel when you can’t find your preferred formula, so we want to reassure you right away that the low stock of Kendamil Goat infant formula you're seeing is temporary. Following the recent ByHeart recall, we’ve seen a significant and unexpected increase in demand, which has led to shelves running low more quickly than usual. Kendamil Goat has not been discontinued or removed from stores. We’re working closely with our retail partners to ensure shelves are replenished weekly, and more inventory is already moving through our supply chain. In the meantime, we’re here to support you however we can. If you’d like help locating our Kendamil Goat infant formula in your area, feel free to share your ZIP code and we can check nearby retailers. And if you’d like guidance on choosing a suitable alternative while stock is low, we’re more than happy to talk through options based on your baby’s needs.

Good but the shortage issues are a huge problem!

Great formula but a shortage now of almost two weeks is WILD! Please beware if you decide to start using this formula, you may be stuck stressed out searching at stores miles and miles away to just find a can of it!

UK version is better than this US version.

after 4 different formulas, this one finally didn't upset my little one's stomach. They love it so much that they prefer it over solids after the switch, so that just shows me how good it must be to the baby! I was a little sad that the US version of this formula added Iron to it, because we specifically went with an Iron-free formula to avoid the chronic constipation my little was having. After the US made Kendamil change their formula in US markets, we started having the constipation issue again. To avoid the iron-supplement version, I advise buying the UK formula from over seas.

Every baby is different

Unfortunately, this didn’t work for us. I was so bummed. Spent a lot of time researching formulas and narrowed down to this as an option I’d feel most comfortable to give my newborn son. Read goats milk is supposed to be the closest compositionally to breast milk and easier to digest. I am not sure what ingredient(s) in this set him off, but he projectile vomited within the first couple meals of this. Only used a few times before trying Kendamil’s whole milk version, and even though the whole milk one was more tolerable it still caused him issues over time. Gave it a solid few weeks before stopping and found it gave him horrible reflux and gas issues and made him colicky. The formula is creamy & I noticed leaves a filmy, oily residue on everything. It made him constantly spit up during and between feeds, and cough/choke, and sometimes even spit up through his nostrils. It was so sad. Im using formula to combo feed whenever I don’t produce enough breast milk, so when taking a break from kendamil’s formula altogether and doing strictly breast milk for a few days symptoms ceased. I just switched over to Enfamil Gentlease, as recommended by his pediatrician, and it’s a night and day difference. He’s not fussy and spitting up like crazy anymore, reflux and gas issues has greatly tamed down and seem to be going away almost completely. And found Enfamil’s formula easier to mix/break down than this and doesn’t create the same filmy residue at all. Every baby is different!!! So though Kendamil may not have worked for us, it may work for you. The flavor of it is very close to breast milk and I know he enjoyed the flavor of it, but that’s the only positive I can say

Weird Poops

We love that it’s got much cleaner ingredients than most formulas but our baby seems to struggle to poop. He’s 6 weeks old and we are unsure if it’s the formula or just an immature digestive system. When he does poop it’s greenish and smells fishy. Anyone else have this issue? He does like the flavor. Just not sure if this is agreeing with him.

Terrible customer service

The milk is really good, but the Target in Antioch is a shame. They show it as in stock, but they don’t put it out on display. I asked a staff member and he said they had it, but that I “had to order it online” just so they don’t have to do their job. That’s what they get paid for. They make you drive all the way there because our son needs it, and they’re not even willing to help the customer.

Hi Fernando, Thanks for flagging this—and I’m sorry you had that experience, especially when you’d made a trip for your little one’s feeds. Store shelf availability is handled by Target, but if the app shows “in stock” a team member should retrieve units from the back or offer Order Pickup/Drive Up. Please ensure to report this to Target directly. - The Kendamil Team

Buy IT

Wow just wow. I started my newborn on this at 6 weeks old after struggling with horrible reflux, and colic since she was 2 weeks old. She does not have a CMPA diagnosis or lactose intolerance but I swear after all her feedings on other formulas she was soo upset and unhappy. We tried similac sensitive & hypoallergenic formulas before buying a can and I wish I had started earlier. After just a day of using my baby is so much more happier, she’s sleeping better, loves the taste of it, has normal stools & no more colic after a week of using. She still has spit up but it has decreased significantly. It is pricier but worth my peace and sanity.

Thank you for your review Ava, I am really like your little one is getting on well with our formula. In spite of our product containing more natural ingredients and being shipped from Europe (which also means import tariffs that other US brands don’t pay), we continue to sell our formula at a price that is more competitive than the leading brands. We ill continue to work hard to give all of our families and little ones more of that goodness.

Stressed

Keeping it a 5 star to stay at the top reiterating what the last review says. SOLD OUT SAYING IN STOCK I’ve been to 5 stores I’ve never bought more than 2 at a time. I was part of the shortage in 2021 and then again with in 2024 and again in 2025 the gentle ease Bobbie this past summer to finally the goat Kendamil. If anyone has any advice I will take please leave a review I will come back to check thank you

Hi Katara, thanks for reaching out. We want to reassure you that the low stock of Kendamil Goat infant formula you're seeing right now is temporary and due to a significant increase in demand following the recent ByHeart recall. We’re working closely with all our retail partners to ensure shelves are replenished each week, and more stock is on the way.

Sold out, be cautious

My baby loves this formula. He has regular bowl movements and doesn’t have a hard time with gas or burping. I took off two stars because I have one can left and went to pick up more. To my surprise it’s completely sold out. Went on the app to see if any nearby stores had it in stock… nope. Sold out within a 100 mile radius! My only option is to get this formula shipped from Target. Unfortunately, my local retailers do sell Kendamil, but not the Goat formula. Other online retailers can get it to me faster, but it’s $70+ a can before shipping cost. It’s frustrating because my local Target was stocked up on this just a couple weeks ago. So I guess someone came in and wiped all of my local Targets clear. I wish Target put a limit on how many cans of formula you can purchase at once.

(no review title)

The only formula that doesn't cause severe reflux for my baby. We've tried 6 other kinds of formula and this one by far is her favorite one.

Hi ally, thank you for the amazing review. We are incredibly proud of our British heritage, our farming supply chain and that absolutely no Kendamil products contain palm oil, fish oil, or GMOs! Rest assured our team will continue to work hard to give all of our families and little ones more of that goodness.
