A: I am answering this in December. Or, more accurately, December. I keep my room unheated every year until I start to see my breath. I have been quite toasty and warm with this duvet insert. I also have standard bed sheets, two thin blankets and a mid-weight duvet cover. In summer, I used a thin duvet cover, sheets and one thin blanket. I usually wouldn't use the blanket, but kept the duvet because it is just so very comfy and cozy. Hope this helps.
