[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The mixer seems sturdy and I especially appreciate that it is not unnecessarily heavy. However, I continue to wonder why older appliances such as my GE hand mixer that was given to me 50 years ago and still works beautifully except for its frayed nonreplaceable cord were even lighter and easier to use. I struggled a little to line up the KitchenAid blades to get them inserted, and to eject the second one required a hard press with two thumbs. My GE glades just pop in and out with no effort. I think companies often overdo it in trying to make something seem more fancy when we just need a simple, reliable appliance that is easy to use while getting the job done.

It worked remarkably, it power through food preparation nicely. The mixer it replace was about 35 years old. The mixing power was noticeable which sped up the food preparation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This hand mixer is adequate but lacks many of the features I really appreciated in a former hand mixer that I used for more than 20 years because it adapted to also power a mini food processor, an immersion blender and a set of dough hooks along with the whisk style beaters. They came as a set but are no longer available. I replaced it with the Kitchen Aid hand mixer because I have been very happy with my larger Kitchen Aid stand mixer (2). It would be wonderful if the smaller Kitchen Aid could be more versatile but I trust it will prove to be as dependable as the larger versions have been. It would be helpful if the case allowed for the cord to be wound more neatly and could stand on end securely.

I've owned some weak hand mixers before, but this one is a little powerhouse! My mixer handles everything I’ve used it for perfectly. Whipped cream is effortless to make, and mashed potatoes are smooth and creamy whenever I use it. Even my favorite super-thick chocolate chip cookie dough gets mixed up nicely without the mixer bogging down. It has five speeds, which is perfect because I can slowly get things going and then crank it up for thicker batters. The mixer is surprisingly lightweight too. My arms don't get tired even when I'm mixing up a thick batch of cookies, and it's actually pretty quiet compared to other hand mixers I've used. The beaters are made from stainless steel, which is good because they seem really sturdy and they clean up well. It also means they won't rust on me. If you're looking for a hand mixer that can handle pretty much anything, this KitchenAid is a great choice. It's powerful, easy to use, and fairly quiet. It's also pretty compact, which is especially good if you have limited space in your kitchen like I do.

It’s not overly loud which is nice. I’ve only used it a couple times so far but with my experience with kitchen aid products they’re usually built to last. The ONLY negative I have is I wish I could have selected the color on the product give away to be cohesive with my other appliances.
