Description

A classic paddle design is perfect for making candy or tracking oil temperatures for deep frying. The KitchenAid design has a curved stainless Steel body that hugs the cookware sides for easier stirring and more evenly heated and consistent results. Includes an adjustable pan clip with silicone coating that securely affixes the thermometer to almost all pan types and prevents scratching. An oversized stay cool handle provided easy removal from the pan after use. Large, bold numbers are easy to read. Key temperatures ranges Are printed directly on the stainless to help monitor the cooking temperatures. Important: thermometer will be hot after use. Use potholders or oven mitts when handling hot thermometer.

Game Changer for Making Stock

I bought this kitchen thermometer for my husband, who is the cook in our family. He has often mentioned that it would be nice to have one, but it never seemed like a need. I surprised him with this one day and it has made a big difference. He uses it regularly when making stock, when the liquid needs to simmer but not boil. Much easier to manage when you know the exact cooking temperature. This thermometer clips to the pot and is easy to read. It’s a great gift for a home cook.

Not accurate

Temperature was not accurate. I actually exchanged the first one I bought to get another one, and this one was also not accurate either. And then to boot the handle melted off while I was checking the temperature accuracy. Usually I love KitchenAid products. This one was a huge fail for me.

'Tis the Season

I bought this to refresh my old candy thermometer. I was happy to see KitchenAid make a thermometer like this because I have a lot of their products already. Pros - numbers are easy to see, there is a cover on the clip so my pans aren't getting scratched, helpful zones for candy temps so I don't have to keep checking my phone or recipe. Cons - I'm glad I don't have to use the C scale, it's really small. Overall, a great purchase. I have a feeling it will last for years and years.

Great!

I recently bought the KitchenAid candy thermometer at Target and love it! The temperature is spot on for accuracy and it is the best how it curves the the edge of my pan while making candy. The silicone clip is a nice feature. Excited to try it for deep frying the Thanksgiving turkey.
