I like my hair masks to have slip so I can easily distribute them throughout the hair. This mask is softening and detangling, but not heavy. It's a universal treatment for anyone looking to reverse dryness.
Weekends are for conditioning weak ends! How to: 1. After shampooing & rinsing, run a small amount from middle to ends. 2. Allow it to sit on the hair for 5 minutes, or longer if you have time. 3. Rinse thoroughly. Tip: Use this once a week for extra shine and softness. For a more intense treatment, apply then cover with a plastic shower cap and allow to stay on for up to an hour. Rinse well.
Contains Zip-Up Technology™, our proprietary strengthening complex designed to "zip-up" split ends while targeting weak areas of the hair, smoothing the appearance of damaged cuticles and helping to protect hair from environmental stressors and color fade.

This conditioner is amazing! I use the micellar shampoo and follow it with this reconstructive mask! It makes my hair soft and manageable but it’s not a heavy mask. When I rinsed my hair I didn’t feel like it was insanely different, but after drying my hair and styling it was so soft, shiny and had TONS of volume. I paired this with the micellar shampoo!
Works alright but has the most obnoxious smell ever. Way too strong and I never have had a problem with a product scent. Whenever you wash it out it coats the shower floor. It’s been a week since I’ve used it and I’ve nearly fallen every single time I’ve showered.
Pretty poor excuse for a mask. I don’t mind the theory behind the thinness - some masks are hard to work through your hair - but this does absolutely nothing. Doesn’t feel smoother, silkier, shinier, healthier, less tangled - nothing.
This was the first Kristen Ess product I have purchased and I love it. I was skeptical about the reviews above when buying this product but i'm glad i bought it anyways. I use this mask 2-3 times a month and I leave it for about an hour. ONLY reason this product didn't get a 5 was because the scent in this product is SO STRONG and it lingers. Aside from the smell, the mask does the job. I have been looking for an inexpensive mask and this is it. I have colored hair and this does not strip or damage the hair color.
I was in search for a nice hair mask that makes my hair moisturized and silky and this one was SO disappointing. I found that the instructions say you don't need a lot of the product at all, but i used up this container in maybe 4 goes. I guess I used a lot more than what it said to, because no matter how much I put in, my hair was more dry and damaged than before I used it. I loved the packaging and had really high hopes because I needed a go-to hair mask, and target is so close by for me. But this causes more problems than it solves.
