Description

For those who are really prone to unwanted brassiness, take at-home toning one step further with purple conditioner. I created this with moisture and tone in mind. Most people who experience brassiness have had bleach or color applied to their hair so moisture and shine are a top priority. This can be used with or without The One Purple Shampoo.

Let's seal the deal.

How to:
1. After shampooing + rinsing, depending on the thickness of your hair, squeeze a dime to quarter-sized amount into your palm.
2. Apply to wet hair starting at the ends and working your way up to the top, avoiding the last inch or two near the root.
3. Wait 3 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
Tip: If ever you over-do it and your hair is too ashy for your liking, just shampoo once with a clarifying shampoo to remove one level of tone.

Contains Zip-Up Technology, our proprietary strengthening complex designed to "zip-up" split ends while targeting weak areas of the hair, smoothing the appearance of damaged cuticles and helping to protect hair from environmental stressors and color fade.

Thought I would try this to keep the brass out of my hair. Wish I had read the reviews first as like other customers, it turned my hair purple.

For reference my hair is naturally black but it has light brown balayage & also highlights The effectiveness of removing Brass is unreal. I left it in for 3-5 minutes and it did more for my hair than both the Matrix Brass Off shampoo & my L’Oréal purple conditioner COMBINED. For months I struggled with the embarrassing brass tones & I was soaking my hair for 5-10 minutes with the other products. I am a new, loyal fan. I can’t wait to try it a second time to see how much more ashy it can get. Highly recommend.

It took me awhile to get the hang of using this. I think people who are complaining it leaves their hair purple just have to play around with it. For me, I’m a bright golden blonde but don’t like the yellow tint that it gets after awhile. When I start to notice that, I use the shampoo leave it on for like 15 seconds while I get regular shampoo and then lather that in right with it. Then I rinse pretty quick! I use the conditioner and kinda do the same. This has really really brightened my yellow tones and I absolutely love it!!

Totally recommend purple shampoo/conditioner, I’ve used many different types of purple shampoo from expensive brands to very affordable ones, and from my experience it’s a very affordable price and leaves great results.

I never write reviews and I actually like Kristen ess as a brand I just strongly dislike this conditioner, aside from the fact that it doesn’t tone at all, it is not moisturizing at all, it’s more of a shampoo and dried out my hair and on top of that it stained my shower

I really didn’t like this pair of shampoo and conditioner. Really disappointed since I did spend $24 on it. It left my hair dry I felt like there was so much product still stuck in my hair. Just really not impressed

Definitely takes a good amount of my brass away and tones my hair. It will leave a violet tint if I leave it in for a long time but I believe that's what a good purple shampoo should do! Better than most purple shampoos I have used.

I wanted to like this shampoo and conditioner so bad but I couldn’t. At first I thought I was going crazy, but then realized I wasn’t. I could see purple strands in my hair. Not only that but this shampoo and conditioner dries my hair out like crazy!!! I don’t even use it all the time because I’ve heard purple shampoo does that. But the few times I used it my hair was so tangles and dry.

Much better than a shampoo

mamajeanne684646 - 11 months ago, Verified purchaser
I have used the shampoos for grey hair to tone down the yellow, but by the time I rinse it out and do my needed conditioner. I could never see a difference. With this being the last product on my hair when shampooing, I can see the yellow reduced and the conditioner aspect works better than the stuff I had been using.

The reviews on here seem to be mixed and I’m happy to say this conditioner has been so good to my hair. Over the years I’ve used Redken, Joico and Nexxus to maintain my highlights and found that they were either too drying or too oily for my hair. I was so surprised and impressed when I tried Kristin Ess out! I had zero expectations with this and just bought it impulsively lol. Best impulse buy yet. It makes my hair soft, smooth without making it greasy, and does a pretty decent job taking out the brassiness in my highlights. Obviously it doesn’t work as well as a toner appointment with your stylist but it def tones my hair enough as long as I leave it in for 15 mins or so. Fyi I have fine, straight Asian hair that gets very oily easily. I wash my hair 2-3x/week and use dry shampoo in between wash days and as well as a hair mask to preserve and moisturize my hair. I use both the shampoo and conditioner of this brand. My new fave!!!!
