Huge disappointment. Not recommended.
Sadly doesn’t work well. Attempted to use this on two large cans of tomatoes. It didn’t remove the tops no matter how many times I positioned it and went around the cans. Metal shards all around the perimeter and forced me to go into my tool box for pliers and a pry bar to open both cans. I was expecting this to allow me to toss my old hand crank can opener but it is just as poor as this new Kuhn unit. Look elsewhere.

Love this can opener
No sharp edges! This opener cuts along the seam, so the device stays clean and the lid doesn’t drop into the food. Very little hand strength is required to operate it. I meant to get one of these years ago, but didn’t until I saw them here at Lehman’s. Thanks for another great product!

Redesign is broken
The old design was much better. This redesign does not open cans as effectively. Why fix what isn't broken? Just doesn't make sense.
