Disappointed with the new smell as well as the hold of the new version. With the new update my hair gets frizzier and I have to use more spray to try to do the job. Definitely preferred the previous scent. Please bring the old version back!

I have used Elnett for probably close to 20 years. It used to be the stuff of legend. Only available in Europe for a long time. Smuggled back in to the US by those “in the know”. Written about in all the top magazines as “The Best” hairspray. And it was. Until now. Absolutely horrendous “new” fragrance. Smells like gas station bathroom air freshener mixed with cotton candy. Lingers. Will have to wash my hair to remove this awful scent. If you have ANY standards whatsoever for fragrance, give this a pass. Waste of money now. Just terrible. Absolutely disappointed that L’Oreal would take a legendary product and bow to what they think the masses like to smell like. Ugh.

The new fragrance is awful!! I didn’t notice the label said it was new. I just grabbed 2 because they are rarely in stock. BIG MISTAKE. The worse mistake is that L’Oreal ever changed the scent in the first place. L’Oreal, you’ve lost a longtime customer.

This product is hard to find in my area-small town. I ordered it online. I hate hairspray that gets "crunchy" and dries my hair. I have short frizzy hair and this product worked quite well. No crunch but yet held my hair in place. The fact that it has uv filters for colored hair is important to me-especially since I am outside a lot. Boating and gardening or taking long walks. But-the smell is not a good one and lingers all day. I just can't use it! Take the scent out. So, now I have a barely used can of hair spray, I can't use.

I bought this because the store didn’t have the Unscented which I have used before. I used it one time and the smell is awful! As I sprayed it on my hair it smelled like something burnt. The smell didn’t fade all day and I couldn’t wait to wash my hair.

This actually worked great at keeping away flyaways and kept my hair from puffing up in the humidity. I live in the south. The negative is that it smells really bad and the smell does not go away. Think baby powder mixed with a port a potty. It also leaves this white crusty almost like dusty residue on your hair that actually does not brush out like they claim it does. You have to wash your hair. My hair type is 3c. So now I’m on the search again for a hairspray that helps keep my hair normal looking in the humidity of the south.

This version of Elnet has a very strong perfume smell that will not fade out of my hair. I am not scent sensitive, so this is really strong. I can “taste” it in my throat hours after application. I will stick with Unscented, but stores are frequently out of the Unscented.

I really tried to get used to this hairspray because I loved how it worked with my fine hair. Great hold, not sticky, no residue. But the smell is so overpowering, I can't do it anymore. I want to say it smells just like patchouli, but I'm not even sure. It's an incredibly perfume-y smell that lingers. I'd having coughing fits after using it and it gave me headaches. Sorry to say it's going in the trash.
