Q: Is this good for severely, dry, cracked lips? I'm extremely sick, bedridden for years, I'm dehydrated & a lot of meds don't help. I'm looking for some-thing as fab as Dr Lipp Nipple Balm. Any advic?

A: I use this as lip balm and find it to stay on and hydrate better than aquafor.

I work outside in the weather a lot and it is a lifesaver. Occasionally, I will apply it again in the morning. I am sure it would help protect them so they could heal if they were already chapped.

The unique refining process ensures a pure, high-quality product, with no preservatives, parabens, fragrance, or taste. It is recommended to apply the Lanolin after breastfeeding, instead of before, so that it has time to absorb into the skin. The NDC information indicated in a prior response was for Lansinoh's discontinued Diaper Rash Cream, not the HPA Lanolin.

A: Hello Jane, Thank you for your questions. While Lansinoh Lanolin Nipple Cream is bacteriostatic and won’t promote new growth; it does form a partially occlusive barrier, so it is not recommended that you use lanolin when you have thrush.

Q: Can I use Lanolin Nipple Cream on my lips? I have chapped lips & anything Ive tried doesnt help to heal them, it just makes them soft but if I stop using the product, for a few days, the products I've tried my lips still are dry/cracked/chapped.

I've been using this cream for my chronically dry lips for many years. I picked up a new tube (the one that's just purple and white on the front) and it's nothing like the old version. It's not nearly as thick and doesn't stay on the whole night, leaving me with parched lips in the morning. And no, it has nothing to do with temperature as all my lotions are kept in the same cabinet and subjected to the same temperatures. None of my previous tubes have had this slimy texture. I've recommended this brand to many people with dry lips but I don't think I'll be able to do that anymore.

This is the only nipple cream that has worked for me personally. Exclusively pumping mom for 20 months now and I use this now strictly at night before bed and it does wonders! I would definitively recommend this especially at the beginning stages whether you’re breastfeeding or pumping!

I’ve seen other similar reviews and I have to agree with them. I bought this to use on my lips after discovering I have an allergy to propolis. Since many lip products have beeswax in them, I was in a cycle of constantly irritating my skin. This product not only healed my lips from the reaction I was having to the other products I was using but it has been the most hydrating and long lasting product I’ve ever used on my lips.

I actually bought this for my lips after developing a reaction to the previous lip balm I was using. I get pretty bad eczema on my lips and have to be very careful what I put on them. I saw people suggest this as an affordable alternative to some lanolin lip products. I have to say so far I am a fan! I bought small lip balm tubes to divide the product up in so I can have multiple instead of carrying around a giant tube. So far no bad skin reactions and it keeps my lips nice and moisturized.
