Leap Frog Globe
I bought this for my grandson’s and they enjoy playing with it and learning, however, the way that the globe is tilted, makes it hard to find things. Most globes aren’t tilted like that, and just after playing with them, it causes strain in your neck. You have to turn your head sideways to look for things.

This product incorrectly labels Korea’s East Sea as “the Sea of Japan.” This terminology originated during the period of Japanese imperialism, when Japan occupied Korea, and its use today is historically inaccurate. It is deeply disappointing and concerning to find such an error on a product intended for young children. I respectfully request that this issue be reviewed and corrected.

Unfortunately, my child received this globe as a gift a few months ago. She grew to love it, but then one day it suddenly stopped working. When I contacted LeapFrog support, I was told that this product — like many, if not most, LeapFrog toys — is only covered by a 3-month warranty. So, just as your kids start loving this toy, it may stop working, and you’ll have to decide whether spending almost another $100 is worth it — because who knows how long the replacement will last? Please check older reviews before buying. Sadly, the warnings were there, but I decided to give LeapFrog a chance. Many customers, like me, have experienced the same issue with this globe breaking within a few months.

Biased and Factually Inaccurate Content
I was disappointed to find that this globe lists “Israel and Palestine” as countries—Palestine is not a recognized country and should be labeled Palestinian Territories. The description of Jerusalem is also troubling: it focuses almost entirely on Muslim landmarks while referring to the Western Wall only as the “wailing wall” and omitting that it’s Judaism’s holiest site. For a children’s educational toy, accuracy and balance are essential. This content misrepresents facts and risks teaching bias rather than understanding. I hope BBC and LeapFrog review and correct this to ensure the globe reflects accurate, respectful education for all children.

Only worked 7 months & Leapfrog only backs utems for 3 months
This toy only worked for seven full months. It was a Christmas present and my five-year-old love this toy. It was his favorite toy. I did Right leapfrog support and they told me they only backed their items for three months despite what you may see different advertising saying 12 months and two year warranties and words like kid proof this item is not built to last. Have a very sad five-year-old who loved learning on this globe but unfortunately it is not well-made now after a few months it’s ready for the landfill.

I bought this globe to kind of comfort my kid “knowing”when dad was gone, where was he. It turned our that she also learned some few facts and that’s a win win. We own a few Leapfrog items, the books with the reading pen, absolutely wonderful and the traveling case also with a reading stylus. It is kind of disappointing that many products or updates to those are discontinued. But going back to the globe.. I would recommend it as an educational toy or some form of occupational therapy. Now, I just read all the reviews on those battery issues, we’ve had ours for almost a year with no issues but I’m a bit concerned now. Anyway I’ll just keep an eye on it. The only other thing that might be annoying is the music but we can live with it.
