Lots of fun
We got this set in a stem motion activity bag from our library. It is so fun! After "how to" helping/instructions on day one of play, it has kept my 5 year old independently entertained for hours of creative stem exploration fun. He's built according to the included plans, and has made his own creations. Love it!

terrible service
It is all cheap plastic, so I returned it. After nearly 5 weeks, no sign of a refund. Would definitely avoid this seller in future.

Endless opportunities to build
This little kit is great to get the 'cogs' turning! My 5 and 4 year old need toys that require a little bit more problem solving and thought than most and so I was really happy to find the Stem Explorers Motioneering kit. The 56 pieces enclosed in the box are brightly coloured and well made. It also comes with an instruction manual showing diagrams of 8 suggested builds. The instructions could do with being slightly bigger; they needed a little bit of help at the start to figure out which pieces were which. After the initial bit of help they were away and off constructing their own individual buildings and machines. The box doesn't contain loads of pieces which meant the children could easily construct things by themselves but I can see them wanting more pieces to add to their builds. My daughter has recently built a pendulum and we used it to practice her counting during out Science experiment.

Fun STEM kit
Included in this 56 piece kit... 12 long posts, 20 short posts, 8 E-connectors, 2 three point connectors, 6 two point connectors, 1 boulder, 1 catapult launcher, 5 six point connectors and a guide to build 8 different machines. This kit was appealing just from the box with my girls as soon as they saw it they got started. The brilliant guide shows you what pieces you need for each build. It gives you a define section and an enhance section about using the leftover pieces from the kit to enhance the build to make it better or adapt it. My girls found a couple of the pieces tricky to put together at first but with a little use it got easier. I love that this kit doesn't come with step by step instructions for the builds as it encourages the kids to really look at the picture and figure out what pieces go where I felt this challenged my girls enough but they still found it easy enough, fun and exciting. The pictures themselves show the whole machine in a way that the girls could easily build them themselves or discuss together the next step. This is so fun that it's not just a one and done type of play and build my girls have come back again and again to build a build in the guide or just going with what they come up with themselves. The kit is big enough where its not overwhelming for the kids with too many pieces but for me personally I would like to see an option for bigger pack or expansion pack as my girls love to build together aswell as separately in saying that while one was building a machine the other had to think hard about how to use the leftover parts to make something of their own until it was their turn for building a machine.

One of the best STEM kits we have found..
As a mother, I am always juggling ways to expand my children's learning, while keeping their attention away from too much screen time and keeping them interested. My 6 year old absolutely loves building things that actually work.. and have a purpose, so when I saw this Stem Explorers motioneering set I knew he would absolutely love it... and he did! The pieces are well made, and click together very easily, so he needed no help at all in putting together a variety of different machines. It's not a huge set, and comes in a strong cardboard box, so there is not too many pieces to be overwhelming, but there is enough there to be able to build so many different machines and also adapt them to form new ones. Since getting this kit a week ago, he has gone back to it time and time again, so I know it's definitely not going to be a 'one hit wonder'. As with all Learning Resources products, the colours are bright and visually appealing to children, as well as being quite tactile.. even my 4 year old has been begging to have a go! The kit is aimed at 5+ which I feel is a perfect fit. Definitely one of the best STEM kits we have found and would fully recommend!
