Fun and creative build
I'm barely a quarter of the way into my build and it has the hallmarks of the Icons building. It has a lot of cute and creative details on the choices of lego pieces used to create the various parts of the building. As I continue my build, I'm just taken away by the creativity it took to come up the layout. For example, the way the ticket office was designed. It started out as a box and then when you finish it would be angled to fit into the front of the building. Just ingenious idea. I'm looking forward to continuing my build and seeing and savoring the wonders unfold in this build and adding this to the rest of my buildings collection.

Missing 13 pieces
So, I’ve been building LEGOs for years and only purchased through LEGO hoping that I would never have to deal with missing pieces and not being able to finish the build until I receive the pieces. I’m so upset that I’ve had to deal with this AND wait for over a month to receive the pieces. I still haven’t received them. This does take away from my experience but not with the overall build of the product. This will be beautiful if and when I can finish it.

We sincerely apologize that the parts were missing and now your build is on hold. Rest assured, we're working hard to get the parts to you as quickly as possible.

Really cute
I was impressed by the adorable details, such as the sewing machine and telephone. But very frustrated when I encountered a missing part.

This is my first Lego set and I’m so excited. I love building things and can’t wait to purchase my next set. The delivery was quick, gorgeous packaging. The instructions are very well written with large print and easy to follow pictures. Can’t wait to get started on it. Currently finishing another project.

Good to build
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very easy to build. If you are very creative you can create your own idea inside the buiding. Be creative is more fun and enjoy building it.

I’ve wanted this set for a while now. Lego finally had a free GWP that I actually liked, Upscale Baby Astronaut (Red). I ended up missing about four pieces but I made it work with leftover pieces from this set & past sets. I’m actually taking a Jazz class this semester, so this built was extra special.

Great Build
This was a great build. I particularly love the details of the front facade. The model has a downtown, slightly grungy, artsy look to it which is endearing. A generous inclusion of eight mini figures adds greatly to the story telling opportunities of the building. My only suggestion for improvement would be that the jazz club roof looks a bit naked and with too many exposed studs. Still that leaves any lego builder options they can explore themselves - a roof top bar perhaps? All up a wonderful modular build. I am definitely pleased with my purchase.

I thought this Lego set was an incredible build and kept me interested through each bag with many hidden details throughout the modular sets. I would recommend this Lego set to people who have a passion for music, food, architecture, and of course Lego modular sets. Although the price is a little expensive I think it is definitely worth it for how it looks in the end product. Amazing design!

Inconsistent quality
The Jazz Club has a lot of unique details and building techniques that make it both fun to build and to look at. Each floor had something new, and I loved that there wasn't a single sticker in this build. The coloring of the bricks and minifigures in this set is stellar, everything in terms of color looks great. As a musician, the idea of a Jazz club set was beyond exciting, but the payoff was not quite as good as I had hoped. Building the 'floor' part of the first level was not the most exciting building experience, with it being a couple bags of painstakingly laying out lots of tiles. This is my first modular, and I expect that most are this way, but it wasn't a great way to start off. That being said, once you get through that part, the rest of the first level gets a lot better. Small details like the ticket box, the bathroom under the stairs, and the various ingredients and cooking appliances in the kitchen make for a detailed build that doesn't feel too cluttered. The building techniques used for setting the stage, curtains, and entryway were all interesting and made for a fun building experience. It is a little odd that there isn't a bar in a 'Jazz club,' but - since it is a toy company, at the end of the day - that can be excused. I also was disappointed by the lack of detail in the drumset, and that there was no dedicated sax player included in the set. There was a missing piece (which has been a recurring issue in the larger sets I have purchased over the past year) that made it difficult to continue with the build. I have an off color replacement for the time being, but it is disappointing that the quality control in terms of missing pieces has been getting significantly worse recently. It is particularly annoying since, for me, it has happened in sets of higher price points like this one and Rivendell. The second floor was a pleasant build, with the stained glass windows and sewing machine being particular highlights. The choice to have the corner of the office be open above the stage was an odd one, considering that the space wasn't needed and the acoustics would be dismal inside the club as a result (not to mention that the drum sound would funnel directly into the office). It would've been nice to have set up bookshelves, a record cabinet (to go with the player), a fridge, or something else similar with that corner space. The sewing room was also a little empty, but the fabric rolls and sewing machine were fantastic details. The third floor and roof were, in my opinion, the best part of the build. The green room is in the perfect middle of detailing, with enough space for play but without feeling sparse. I was hoping the music notes were an easter egg of sorts but they didn't seem like the beginning of any standard/tune I was familiar with. The roof looks great, with the building techniques used mimicking masonry beautifully. The squirrel was a nice touch as well. The garden is also a nice touch, and while the roof doesn't quite sit as perfectly as I'd like on the greenhouse, it still looks great. Overall, it was worth the price and looks great. Most of my qualms are rather nitpicky, and I would certainly recommend this set. I will likely be making some edits though, and I am still disappointed that a set at this price point would be missing pieces.

Don't buy Lego at Target
If Target doesn’t want to accept returns anymore, it is no longer a viable retail shopping space. I have options and Target is no longer one of them. Customers have rights and you suddenly changing them isn’t going to end well.

Excellent building experience
This build is a very fun and entertaining build. One thing I have noticed in a few modular buildings is that it is a bit of structure and then a bit of detail, which I think that it keeps me engaged in the build. However, I would say that there could be more figures to watch the show and have pizza, leaving me to add my own figures and there aren't very many play features except from the moped. Overall though, it is an excellent building experience and I would recommend it to others.

1st floor issues
This sets good quite cramped in some areas but the worst bit is the stability of the first floor had to take it apart twice and it still kept falling apart.when building it a third time i had to grab some old lego bits i had to reinforce the floor

Great build
I love all the little details, from a toilet under the stairs, to the tiled floors. Only part way through and looking forward to what tiny details there are on the next floor.

My first Modular building!
I love the Jazz Club Lego set so much. Every detail and story made the experience so great. The incorporation of the other buildings in the story made me want to immediately buy them retired price and all. I love how easily I can break down the floors to see the other builds and play with the mini figs. I am obsessed with the Modular Buildings Collection and on a hunt for every set from 2007 until the most recent.
