This was a very time consuming build. It was definitely fulfilling after several days of building stints that totalled over 15hrs. My largest build to date.
Not the most beautiful car but huge fun to build

I didn’t wanted it but my wife convinced me. I don’t like the design of this car, I think it’s ugly. But to build it was really a great fun. All parts were in the box, nothing to hold the build back. It found a place on the shelf and is waiting for the next vehicle to be built.
By Far the Best Lego Set

This is a great build. I hadn't been into Lego since I was a kid. I had lifted Legos over the years and when I had a chance to take my son to Legoland last year I saw this set in one of the shops. I was like what is this? As the box and presentation looked amazing. I actually looked at a hyper ar rally a few weeks before seeing this set and was totally impressed with the realism. I waited until I got back home and picked this up and was a very very satisfying build. Then I learned you could motorized it and add lighting to it. This was a no brainer. I tore the build down and rebuilt it again and man was it enjoyable again. This is one beautiful set. I think I got spoiled with this being my first as even though other technic sets are great they are not on the same level as this one.

Love the way the concept of the hybrid engine was put in. Not a lot of pieces but still became a big set.

Whilst the build was a fairly good experience. There were a couple of annoying features, the door’s do not fit very well. With larger than acceptable gaps between them and frame. Also the quality of the stickers was poor compared with the many other Lego sets I have. They seem to be made from paper now, and thinner. Three stickers tore whilst getting them off backing sheet. They also when you consider the cost of this set look very poor in situ. I am waiting for replacement stickers to replace the torn ones. I have never set out a poor review, but feel this was worth sharing.

I’ve built several Lego Technic cars now and this one had to be my absolute favorite! The over all build experience was ultimately satisfying and stress free, unlike the Porsche RSR which was a part sorting debacle. The instructions were extremely clear and well thought out. After about 3 hours of total build time the final result was solid and extremely sharp looking. Very much recommended.
Missing Pieces Project

When I initially saw the car I was thinking it would be fun to build, but then I started building. I'm in the final building phase and have placed 3 different orders for missing pieces. On the bright side I did get a few extras that I don't need for this build, but the missing pieces delay the build and make it frustrating to wait for things that should have been there from the factory.

Have been building Lego sets for years and as a car enthusiast, I love the different hypercar sets that capture the design and details of the amazing machines. This is another set that is fun to build and showcases the technical design of the Le Mans racecar. It does not have too much detail as the 1:8 set, but still has plenty of functionality to make the set special. However, very disappointed in the ONLY missing piece that Lego decided to take out from this set. The "Brick Separator" was not included for this technical focus set. The same piece was included in the artistic sets like, #80112 - Auspicious Dragon and #21042 - Statue of Liberty, or the smaller car sets, like #10302 - Optimus Prime and #10262 - James Bond™ Aston Martin DB5. You would think the tool would be useful for a set like this with so many interlocking "Technic" components. Not sure how much money it has saved, but Lego has decided to take it out of the bags.

I'm in my late 30's and spend more money on Lego sets than I really care to admit but man was this set worth it! When I buy a big set like this I BINGE it and try to finish it in one sitting but with nearly 2K pieces and just shy of 400 pages of instructions, it took more than one sitting, haha. I display all of my finished sets in my classroom for all my middle school students to see (no touching obviously!) and they couldn't get over the MASSIVE size of the finished set! I used an Xbox controller for scale in one of my photos. Totally worth every penny and every minute spent putting it together!

Way too many stickers. A lot of fun to build, but a lot of elements seem hidden. The stickers were a pain, and for the price point it seems like more could be preprinted.
