Lehman's Harmonica Hum Teakettle Shiny 304 Stainless Steel Large Spout 5 Quarts

My family uses tea kettles every day and all day long.... tea, hot chocolate, soups, etc. We have had a hard time finding a kettle that will last. We have tried several brands and models but were unable to find a decent quality pot even at a higher price.We were going through them about yearly due to poor materials causing staining, rust, and breaking of parts. I finally found this one and it seems to be far better construction and materials. The 304 stainless is restaurant grade rather than the junk stuff used in other kettles. It has a shiny mirror like finish that stays shiny and stain free and NO rust. It has a unique two tone alarm in the lid rather than the spout thus the name harmonica in the desription. It holds more water than most also yet takes the same space on the burner as others.... it has high sides thus the larger capacity. i think this is a 5 star rating but giving it four for now. It gets the last star if it is still as good as it is now in a year.

This was a good bit bigger than I was picturing, but that's okay, it will be great to have the capacity in canning season. It is sturdy and well made, and should last a long time. It is a much thicker gauge of steel than you get in the grocery store or big box store.

After buying a few cheap kettles which kept getting white powder on the rims, we splurged for this one and it is amazing!! No white powder, it looks beautiful on our stove, and we have plenty of hot water for coffee and tea throughout the day. The whistle is very pleasant and enjoyable. It cleans super easy. We love it!

Yes, it's large. And there are only two of us. But this kettle is such a dream. No more screeching when the water boils, like some dying animal. (In the early morning, the deer grazing outside find the sound troubling, as do I. ) The gentle hum is easily heard from anywhere in our house. And the kettle looks lovely sitting on the top of our pot rack. I wanted a tea kettle that would alert me, but not in a way that made me want to run to silence it. This kettle is it.

I LOVE this kettle. Holds a bunch of water. It's stainless with no crevices to catch gunk. The whistle isn't shrill like my old kettle. Highest recommendation.
