Did the formula change?
I’ve been using these for over a year and was loving them. But the past few months they haven’t been dissolving and little bits stick to our clothes. I thought it was an issue with our washer, so I deep cleaned it. Still an issue. So, I started trying dissolving them in a bucket to poor into the washer. No matter how long they sit in the water for, I can get them to dissolve fully. Did the formula change. These use to be a 5 star item for me, and now I’m shopping for a new detergent.

Fine, but Allergen
We've been using the purple version (lavender, I think?) for a few months and it was fine. I wouldn't say the sheets are very effective at cleaning if you follow the directions. A regular washing load for us requires two half-sheets, which is twice the instructions, and anything visibly dirty or smelly will take 3. I like the smell of these lemon & mint sheets - but! My poor little son put on his clean jammies last night and then broke out into a terribly itchy rash over the next four hours. It could only have been that I had just started using this box of sheets. He's never had anything like contact dermatitis before - and I know I've used lemon and mint scented things in the house before - so there's something special about this product that contains an allergen, at least for my kid.

Gunky and Nasty
Sad because I was really loving the concept of using detergent sheets and I liked these scents, but after months of using them I started noticing my clothes smelled like mildew. I thought it was my washer so I literally took it apart and cleaned the whole thing, nothing changed. I cleaned my dryer and it didn’t help. I finally decided to try hand washing some of my things and as soon as I dropped in the detergent sheet I realized the problem was them. They turned into this gummy sticky gunk that was like a mix of melted candle wax and cornstarch and it stuck to all my clothes in globs. No amount of scrubbing or agitation would get it off or dissolve it. I had to scour it off my fabrics with a metal sponge which was as insane as it sounds. I’m never using these again and I’m so sad I did for the last 6+ months.

Honestly I have always been skeptical about laundry sheets, and fully expected to be returning a box sans one sheet back to the store. But to my suprise, I actually really like these and I think I'll buy them again if they continue to give good results. I've only done a few loads with them so far, but I've seen them suds and I wash with cold water. Seems to be okay. If I run into any issues I'll add white vinegar to my load (natural fabric softener, odor eater, enzymatic cleaning agent, rinses out with no smell) and see what happens. All in all I think you shoukd give these a shot. Last thing to note, if you are looking for a super strong perfumed smell, this is not for you. Most non synthetics fragrances don't give that, so don't expect a strong noticability like a Tide level of scent. It give a scent, but it's a light not overpowering scent which I much prefer.
