It’s amazing! She’s gives practical advice on how to navigate relationships, and hold space for who we expect someone to be vs. the reality of who they are. The self reflection this book calls you to have is so necessary for not only your growth, but also for loving those around you better. This book is truly a life-changer due to how she breaks down the application process of this theory. Everyone needs a copy of this one for sure!

I really liked the first half of the book, but I got really lost in the second half. The most insane line in the book to me was, "Having your parents pay for your therapy and then refusing to let then talk to your therapist is a form of gaslighting." Like what? A therapist shouldn't be discussing adult clients' sessions with their parents. That is extremely unethical. Also, wanting confidentiality is no gaslighting. It's clear the author is not a trained or licensed medical professional. The second to last section is entirely about people who are single, and I ended up just skipping that whole section.

It was so repetitive and honestly nothing that most of the internet hasn't been spewing for the past decade. It felt like maybe this is meant more for the older crowd. There were times that I felt pretty enraged at the advice given when talking about helping someone through therapy. It was the most violating suggestion and definitely would lead to the demise of that relationship. She is VERY full of herself.

I bought this book during my maternity leave to help with not only outside opinions with becoming a mom but also my decision to go back to work or be a SAHM. It really helped guide me and I’m working on being stronger and not caring what others think! I read the first half in one day! Definitely recommend

This book is for anyone who struggles with control. Whether it is lack of control or trying to control everything. Give yourself more peace and less anxiety by reading it and learning how to “Let Them” and “Let Me!” And also discover how to handle disagreements like an adult. Highly recommend.

Purchased this item yesterday. Received confirmation to pick up hour after. I did not pick up yesterday due to being sick. Received message today book is no longer available! I was told I could pick up yesterday! So because I did not pick up yesterday, after I already bought, they resold it! I leave for vacation in 10 days and this was my book choice to read. I haven't been able to take a real vacation in 6 years!
