It’s great for travel or everyday use. Less expensive and much smaller than my regular sound machine. It makes a “fan” sound and doesn’t loop. Volume can be adjusted.

We use this to help our dogs relax while we are away at work. It helps drown out vehicle noises. While traveling we take it with to help our kiddo sleep in new places. Easy to use! Love the timer and different noise selections.

I looked at lots of sound machines on amazon before getting this. Those other ones cost more than $15 and most had similar issues in the negative reviews, problems like detectable loops and strange chime/bell/beeping sounds in the background almost subliminally. Those amazon ones also all seemed like they had the same preset sounds and a lot of them seemed unnecessary. This one I am reviewing has several unnecessary sounds as well, in my opinion. BUT it has enough white noise settings to be worth it, and the interface is good enough. I tend to use the brown noise. I prefer sleeping to heavy rain sounds but the one rain sound in this isn't quite my preference. It has a thunderstorm (kinda scary imo), as well as a trickling stream, birds, crickets, ocean waves, a crackling fire (super scary imo), a fan, a dryer (annoying clanging sounds), a few lullaby music box type songs for babies, and... a train which i find the most puzzling. 🚂 I used to live near train tracks and it kept me awake. Maybe the idea is that if it's constant then the real train will just blend in and be ignored? Maybe some people find the sound of trains on tracks soothing? Not me though. But the brown nose is good, the volume is good, the ability to save presets is good. I hope it lasts.
