Description
The Libman Tornado Mop is America's best selling twist mop according to IRI. It's great for tougher mopping jobs around the house. With a larger mop head covering 50% more surface area and containing 3 green bands to prevent tangling, it is easy to change out and is machine washable. The polyester blend yarn resists odor causing bacteria. The Libman Tornado Mop also features the grip 'n click ratchet that wrings out more water from the mop head and limits the amount of water it leaves on floors.

A: The handle has a lever that when pushed into the "unlocked position" allows the handle to telescope to varying sizes. Once you find the length that works for you, you would pull the lever into the locked position to start mopping your floors.

Q: Is it easy to twist mop to wring out?

A: When you pull up and twist, the ratchet does most of the work, however, for those with arthritis, strength issues, etc. we recommend our wonder mop as it is lighter in weight than the tornado mop.

A: They are similar in construction. Instead of pushing a cone down and twisting to wring the mop out, the tornado mop has a wringer that you pull up and twist. The wringer catches on a ratchet built into the pole, and the more you twist, the more water is wring out. I would say the main difference is the weight of the mop when wet, as the tornado is capable of absorbing three times its weight in water due to the cotton content in its mop head.

If you have wood floors BEWARE, this mop may scratch your floor. But if you have tile or linoleum etc then it’s amazing. It put permanent surface scratches put all over my hard wood. Very upsetting. I think it’s from the green bands that go around the mop to keep it together. I only use it on my tile now.

Broke within a few minutes of use. This product is worse than a dollar store mop. It broke upon the first twisting action. It doesn't lay flat on the floor like the image suggests. It's more of a ball that covers barely any surface area. It created way more work than necessary.

After trying to use it the mop head broke and my daughter the first time said we just needed to buy a new mop head and then it did the exact same thing with a new mop head. I had to wring it out by hand. Needless to say, I let it air dry out and I returned it for a refund since it was a terrible experience. I have purchased another brand at a different store since Target didn’t sell the other brand. I would never purchase another mop made by this brand since it is definitely not designed well.

Annoying to use and needlessly troublesome, but does the job. This mop is not ideal. It doesn’t do the most amazing job at wringing out water and it’s kinda hard to expand it for use after doing so. But, it does the basic functions of a mop: picks up soapy water and allows you to spread that water to clean. Had to buy this because I was on a budget but I will be upgrading.

This is a really good mop. I’ve had it for almost a year. To clean it I sit it in hot water with bleach for about 10 minutes and I’m good to go. I also love that I do not have to touch the mop to rinse it out. I will be repurchasing again soon.
