Q: Some of the other spin mops scratch your floor because there is little mop head, but lots of plastic. How does this compare?

Q: Do you absolutely need to use a bucket of water with this or can I use vinegar/water solution or Method Squirt + Mop solution?

A: You can use anything! I've used several different types of cleaners with it. I just love mine! I've had it for about a year and I have never had any issues with the bucket or the mop.

submitted byApril - 7 years agoA: I have used a vinegar/water solution in the bucket as well as the Squirt Mop method. With the squirt & mop, I squirt solution on floor then use water in the bucket to spread and rinse the solution off floors. Yes both are equally effective. This mop makes rinsing easier because the mop get wrung better with less water on the floor.

A: I bought an extra mop head and I wash it after every time I clean a big room. My floors get quite dirty and I have a lot of space to clean! The mop head has held up very well with multiple washings. Definitely add it to your registry!

I like the spin feature, but this mop needs work on functionality and quality. Not a fluid process due to the plastic coming through the strings and catching the flooring if you don’t place it just right. The rod is also too short to use comfortably and we’re both under 6’. Wish this was worth the internet hype, but it’s just basic.

I’ll start off by saying I really wanted to love this mop. My mopping routine started off well on my wood floors but when moving to my tiled kitchen, the mop head became matted down and it felt like I was mopping a huge ball. The plastic end of the mop kept scraping the tile since it was so matted and not evenly distributed. I am very disappointed because this was a more expensive mop but I can’t afford to replace the mop heads weekly.

No getting hands wet, no hard to wring out mop head with a conventional basket bucket. My housekeepers love it. The mop head it very lightweight when dry. Not as heavy as a normal mop when wet. I wash it by hand after a cleaning...as I don't put it into my washer. But, that just me. It only takes a few minutes and it dries quickly hanging up. Ready to go again! Good invention!

Telescopic handle on mop does not stay locked therefore constantly contracting. Triangular base of mop continually flips over with back and forth motion. When water is in bucket, pail is not weighted well so care needs to be taken when transporting. The mop base should have longer strings. Wish I would have returned when I first purchased and used. You are better off with an old fashioned mop.

This mop is everything! First off all, it’s so easy to use. Secondly, it cleans so well. I had an issue with water in my basement, several inches. I didn’t have a shop vac or a pump and it was late. I grabbed my spin mop and bucket—it sucked up all the water in minutes. Check out the picture of all the water it picked up. Then I just threw the mop head in the washer and it’s like new. Great product! So versatile!

The mop system is good the only thing I don't like is the very small handle. I extended the handle and it was still too short and I'm 5"1 and it put a strain on my back so I guess I better find a long handle to attach

Once fully extended your handle should be 48 inches, and you should see 3 different sections (one red and two gray metal tubes). If you are not seeing all sections, it is likely “section 3” attached to the gray Thread Plug that is not extending. Please remove the red triangle base by unscrewing the connect from the handle. Then try twisting the grey thread plug at the very bottom of the handle while holding firmly onto section 2 with the opposite hand. We hope this helps! I don’t get the hype on this mop. The handle was extremely hard to adjust, it doesn’t wring out enough, very hard to change out the mop head to wash and you have to wring it out by hand when done and quickly wash and dry or it will begin to smell.

Okay, so I read the reviews and alllllllll the complaints about the handle. After I opened it and put it together, I thought the same exact thing. Not even my mom, who is 4'11", could comfortably use thing this. It's ridiculous and laughably short!! As someone with back problems, this was very much a "chore" and caused a flare up. I bought a "replaceable" type handle, in hopes that I could change this one out. When I got home, I started to twist the bottom to see if it unscrewed and what happened? I discovered that there was another (3rd) part to the extension! There is 3 parts to this handle, not 2! It became a "standard" height at that point. Now my only complaint. I used it today after discovering this, and yes, while it's much more manageable, if you try to apply any real "pressure" to kind of scrub down an area, the handle starts to collapse back down. That was pretty annoying because some areas might need a little more scrubbing. Aside from that, it does what it's supposed to do. The spin feature to "drain" the mop of extra water is great, and being able to wash and or replace the mop head is great.

I love this mop system! The pedal makes cleaning easier and a little bit fun! It definitely does not wring as much water out as a traditional mop. However, knowing myself, I’m more likely to get the job done using this mop than the hard work of a traditional mop. Just leave a little extra time to dry!
