Q: Do I spin the handle myself or is there a function in the bucket itself for this?

submitted by Targeto - 2 years ago
  • A: You unlock or pull open the gray plastic tab on the side of the mop handle/stick, and the mop stick will lengthen. Then you place the mop with mop head into the spin bucket with the center of the mop head fitting directly over the short plastic rod that sticks up from the center of the spin bucket, which will hold the mop head in place. With the tab on the mop handle/stick still in the open and unlocked position, push straight down on the mop handle. As you are pushing down and pulling up on the mop stick, it will shorten and lengthen, which causes the mop head to spin in the spin bucket. Repeat as many times as needed to wring out desired amount of water.

Q: can you remove the divider that separates the water

submitted by Target guest - 6 months ago
  • A: The divider is removable

submitted byMichelle - 5 months ago
  • A: Hello Target guest - We appreciate your interest for this item. The divider in the Spin Mop with Refill bucket cannot be removed, as it's part of the bucket's design for separating the clean and dirty water. The divider you see in the bucket is the attached spinning basket. I hope it helps - Juliette.

Q: WHY DOES THE MOP FLIP OVER ALL THE TIME I FIND IT THE ABSOLUTE MOST ANNOYING FEATURE OF THIS PRODUCT ALMOST AS MUCH AS I FIND THE FACT THAT YOU CANNOT BUY A REPLACEMENT MOP WITH THE O'CEDAR SYSTEM.

submitted by JUDY - 1 year ago
  • A: I found that mopping with the handle straight up and go with the grain of the flooring. Don’t press hard, it did the same to me at first! Don’t go to fast , nice slow strokes side to side works for me.

The spin mop has garnered mixed feedback from guests, with many appreciating its lightweight design and the convenience of separating clean and dirty water. However, several guests have expressed frustration with the lack of a foot pedal for spinning, leading to difficulties in wringing out the mop effectively. While some guests found it easy to use and effective for cleaning, others reported issues with the mop head detaching and the overall design not meeting their expectations. Guests recommend considering the product for its price but caution about its limitations.

The mop head does not stay attached while mopping and falls off. The bucket expects you to manually spin the mop around, does not have the foot pedal to help.

    Horrible mop head

The bucket is fine, but the mop head needs significant improvement. It’s difficult to mop floors because the mop head constantly twists and turns, making it hard to use effectively. Overall, the mop head is not very practical.

Mop does the job, but if they sell it in stores, I don’t understand why the refills aren’t available there. This makes it harder to find a refill, so I wouldn’t recommend purchasing it. Instead, I suggest getting a different one.

This was the most awful mop. There’s not a foot peddle to spin the mop and I might as well just pour the whole bucket on the floor. Then when you mop the mop just flips up every time you go across the floor. For this to be $10 cheaper than the name brand mop is absolutely criminal. This should be $1.25.l and I STILL would not buy it! Returning immediately! Save your money!

    Great mop for price

I think that people gave it a bad review because they didn’t read the instructions on how to spin them up. Also, if you want to make a stable use two hands to mop this is a great mop and they do sell refills.

    HOW TO MAKE IT SPIN

A Tik Tok video later and I figure out how to make the mop spin without a foot peddle. You pretty much put the mop in the spinner and you remove the lock at the base. You need to unlock the clamp at the base of the mop that holds the mop at its longest length. Leave it unlocked and hold the mop at the top handle then push it down. The mop should then spin. When you’re done spinning just adjust the height and push the clamp back down on the mop pole. Yup that’s it. I haven’t tried washing the mop head yet so I will update my review if it falls apart after one wash! Btw looking at the pictures on the box does not help. The picture instructions suck. It doesn’t say what the “lock” is. It would be nice if the picture showed the lock. Giving it four stars because the instructions are bad.

If you want an O-Cedar mop but are trying to save money, don't bother. Get the O-Cedar.

This mop is likely NOT what you’re expecting, it is nothing like an O-Cedar mop. I regret not reading the reviews because everything everyone complained about is exactly right. There is NOT a foot pedal which makes it impossible to wring out. The mop itself is a terrible design because it doesn’t lay flat well because it hinges every direction. I also washed the mop head and after one use and wash it started falling apart. The floor took forever to dry because I couldn’t properly wring it out and despite the fact it was supposed to separate the clean and dirty water, the clean water got dirty fast. I don’t usually like to return things after I’ve used them, but I absolutely could not make this mop work for me. I returned it and upgraded to the O-Cedar dual bucket system ($50) and I am so happy with it. Worth the extra money in my opinion. Honestly if you don’t have to have a two bucket system, the O-Cedar single bucket does still have a foot pedal and is only $35 and would still work better than this one.

    Stupid design and ineffective

Terrible. No lever to press to spin the mop you have to wiggle it back and forth with your hands. Also the top flips over every time you push it to the floor so the actual “mop” is barely getting to the ground. I bought this trying to save $20 by not getting the O cedar and just going with the target brand it that was a mistake.

    Best mop

I’m very surprised with this mop. Super easy to use I didn’t have any hopes on it because of the reviews. But I’m so happy that I got it. 100 times better than the Ocedar

    horrible waste of money

there is no push button to spin it. so it soaks the floor. cant spin it out enough to do anything with. this was a big waste of my money. but since I used it guess I cant return it. also the mop head if you dont hold it a certain way it flips over amd over again and the mop isn't even on the floor. grrr. should've just went with the o cedar mop with the push button that seperate the clean and dirty water.

    Junk

First off you simply can’t mop it flips back on itself constantly, the spinning bucket which holds the dirty water needs to be emptied often because of your go to spin out the dirty water it can become too full and then you spin all that dirty water everywhere it’s also leaking out from the underside of the rim when you spin the mop, it’s total junk
