Q: Do I spin the handle myself or is there a function in the bucket itself for this?
submitted by Targeto - 2 years ago
A: You unlock or pull open the gray plastic tab on the side of the mop handle/stick, and the mop stick will lengthen. Then you place the mop with mop head into the spin bucket with the center of the mop head fitting directly over the short plastic rod that sticks up from the center of the spin bucket, which will hold the mop head in place. With the tab on the mop handle/stick still in the open and unlocked position, push straight down on the mop handle. As you are pushing down and pulling up on the mop stick, it will shorten and lengthen, which causes the mop head to spin in the spin bucket. Repeat as many times as needed to wring out desired amount of water.

Q: can you remove the divider that separates the water
submitted by Target guest - 7 months ago
A: The divider is removable
submitted byMichelle - 6 months ago
A: Hello Target guest - We appreciate your interest for this item. The divider in the Spin Mop with Refill bucket cannot be removed, as it's part of the bucket's design for separating the clean and dirty water. The divider you see in the bucket is the attached spinning basket. I hope it helps - Juliette.

Q: WHY DOES THE MOP FLIP OVER ALL THE TIME
I FIND IT THE ABSOLUTE MOST ANNOYING FEATURE OF THIS PRODUCT ALMOST AS MUCH AS I FIND THE FACT THAT YOU CANNOT BUY A REPLACEMENT MOP WITH THE O'CEDAR SYSTEM.
submitted by JUDY - 1 year ago
A: I found that mopping with the handle straight up and go with the grain of the flooring. Don’t press hard, it did the same to me at first! Don’t go to fast , nice slow strokes side to side works for me.

Q: How do I remover the microfiber towel to wash it? It seems like it’s stuck to the base and a few pieces of the mop came out when I tried to remove it.
submitted by JLemon - 2 years ago
A: Hi JLemon - Thank you for the inquiry about Spin Mop with Refill. Pull microfiber head off the assembly and toss in washing machine, wash in warm water, use the mop spinner mechanism to remove water and let air dry, refasten cleaned head to the pole assembly. Hope this helps! - Rolex
The spin mop has received mixed feedback from guests, highlighting both its strengths and weaknesses. Many appreciate the sturdy bucket design and the convenience of separating clean and dirty water. However, issues with the mop head detaching, difficulty in spinning, and the lack of replacement heads have been common concerns. Despite these drawbacks, some guests find it effective for light cleaning tasks, making it a potential option for those seeking a budget-friendly solution.

Good Spin Mop
Easy to use. Mop head swivels though so sometimes flips the head over when in motion cleaning. Gets the job done for a discount.

I Like it!
I've had this for almost 3 years now, and I like it. I haven't experienced some of the complaints with floppy head, or it coming off. I also like the way it spins from pushing down on the handle and the little lock/unlock lever. ONLY thing is the refill heads. They sold them in store in the beginning, now they're non existent. I'd like to know if Target plans on bringing them back, as they still sell the original mop kit. We need to be able to buy refills!

Clamp doesnt lock in place.
The clamp on the mop stick does not grasp very well causing the mop pole to shorten. It releases after every single swipe. Also the mop head flips to often. I do want to point out the bucket on the other hand is very sturdy and well made love the material.

Buy something better.
This mop definitely does not stand up to its name brand competitors. 1. It doesn’t spin well AT ALL to get the extra water out. The mop isn’t sturdy enough. 2. The head comes detached. It’s not supposed to. It’s one piece when you buy it. The part with the actual mop head keeps falling out as you try to mop. 3. Oh, and good luck mopping. I hope you love paying super close attention to which direction you’re going and having to go super slow. The mop head bracket goes two way back and forth, not four way or in a more ball bracket type of hold. Which means if you aren’t paying attention, the mop flips over every time you try to pull it back toward you. Had I know this, I would have spent a little more for a tried and true mop. I’m usually a huge fan of Target branded items, but if there was any way for me to return this, I 1000000% would.

Can’t find a replacement mop head anywhere, useless once the one that comes w gets old. Would have given 4 stars otherwise. Spin feature isn’t the best but wasn’t bad for price.

Ignore the bad reviews. This mop works perfectly! It spins great and gets all the water out without having a pedal that can break. 10/10

The mop head does not stay attached while mopping and falls off. The bucket expects you to manually spin the mop around, does not have the foot pedal to help.

Horrible mop head
The bucket is fine, but the mop head needs significant improvement. It’s difficult to mop floors because the mop head constantly twists and turns, making it hard to use effectively. Overall, the mop head is not very practical.

Mop does the job, but if they sell it in stores, I don’t understand why the refills aren’t available there. This makes it harder to find a refill, so I wouldn’t recommend purchasing it. Instead, I suggest getting a different one.

This was the most awful mop. There’s not a foot peddle to spin the mop and I might as well just pour the whole bucket on the floor. Then when you mop the mop just flips up every time you go across the floor. For this to be $10 cheaper than the name brand mop is absolutely criminal. This should be $1.25.l and I STILL would not buy it! Returning immediately! Save your money!

Great mop for price
I think that people gave it a bad review because they didn’t read the instructions on how to spin them up. Also, if you want to make a stable use two hands to mop this is a great mop and they do sell refills.

HOW TO MAKE IT SPIN
A Tik Tok video later and I figure out how to make the mop spin without a foot peddle. You pretty much put the mop in the spinner and you remove the lock at the base. You need to unlock the clamp at the base of the mop that holds the mop at its longest length. Leave it unlocked and hold the mop at the top handle then push it down. The mop should then spin. When you’re done spinning just adjust the height and push the clamp back down on the mop pole. Yup that’s it. I haven’t tried washing the mop head yet so I will update my review if it falls apart after one wash! Btw looking at the pictures on the box does not help. The picture instructions suck. It doesn’t say what the “lock” is. It would be nice if the picture showed the lock. Giving it four stars because the instructions are bad.
