A: Thank you for taking the time to ask about this. Lodge takes great pride in being able to produce over 80% of our products here in the US. However, some items such as the enamel are made specifically for Lodge by a partner company in China. We try in no way to disguise this as we are proud of any product that holds the Lodge name. After exhausting efforts to find any plant that would enamel bright colors in the United States, Lodge had to search overseas for a partner that could meet our quality standards. We happened to find those partners in China, and have worked directly and constantly with them. We work with a U.S. owned third-party inspection teams to ensure that quality is up to Lodge standards and that all partner companies comply with all applicable employment laws and regulations. The cookware is tested to ensure it surpasses all FDA and Proposition 65 regulations. We greatly appreciate your support! Arrived smashed
The item arrived wrapped in paper inside a flimsy box. When I opened the box, the item was heavily damaged with a hole in it. I followed Target's return process, but Target claims they did not recive the item (I shipped it over 2 wekes ago). So I'm out $108. I've never experienced anything like this. I'm always telling my kids to avoid shopping at suspicious online retailers, but never thought Target would operate this way.

Poorly packaged and arrived damaged
Unfortunately I ordered this set two times. Both times the pot came loose in a pot and the enamel was damaged. The first one the plastic wrap was broken and the pot and lid were damaged. The second one although the plastic wrap was not broken, the handle was chipped and damaged. I ordered from a different vendor and it came well packaged with appropriate padding. Aside from the shipping issues, I do love this pot. I have several lodge enamel cast iron and they are my most used and love pots.

The product itself looks nice but unfortunately it was not packaged well by Target. There was one deflated plastic air bag in the oversized box and obviously the product shifted in shipping and one handle has several large chips. Returning to Target and will purchase elsewhere.

I purchased this online because it wasn't in stock at my local store. Beware, target will ship without any other packing materials in the big box, it broke open and chipped in 2 places - on the handles. Very disappointed, glad it wasn't a gift for anyone but myself. I love Lodge products but Target dropped the ball on this one.

Purchased this from someone’s registry as a wedding gift. I love lodge and they have great prices for cast iron. I hope this dutch oven serves them well for years to come! I ordered to pickup at the store, and the box was a little torn up. Chips easily
I purchased at the beginning of October 2022. I have used about 5 times. Initially it worked well and looked great. While hand washing, the enamel on the lid chipped in two places. It is outside of the return window so I’m unable to return to Target. Based on the price and the number of times it was used before it chipped, I would not recommend.

this cast iron is a good size with wide opening. not deep and narrow. the enamel didnt last long and im seeing cracks already. had it for 6 months. used it probably 6 times. had a diffrent brand casserole , had it for 10 years and going strong upto now. bottom line, if you can afford it, buy a diffrent brand,

Loved this Dutch oven at first, but after only a handful of uses(purchased two months ago) the perimeter of the lid started chipping. I keep it on top of the stove and am very careful while handling so I’m not sure why this happened. It doesn’t look nice enough to store on top of the stove now..disappointed in quality
