A: Thank you for taking the time to ask about this. Lodge takes great pride in being able to produce over 80% of our products here in the US. However, some items such as the enamel are made specifically for Lodge by a partner company in China. We try in no way to disguise this as we are proud of any product that holds the Lodge name. After exhausting efforts to find any plant that would enamel bright colors in the United States, Lodge had to search overseas for a partner that could meet our quality standards. We happened to find those partners in China, and have worked directly and constantly with them. We work with a U.S. owned third-party inspection teams to ensure that quality is up to Lodge standards and that all partner companies comply with all applicable employment laws and regulations. The cookware is tested to ensure it surpasses all FDA and Proposition 65 regulations. We greatly appreciate your support! A: Lodge Enamel products are beautiful, but the light interiors can become discolored and stained over time. The Lodge Enamel Care Kit is ideal for preventing and removing these stains.

Purchased this from someone’s registry as a wedding gift. I love lodge and they have great prices for cast iron. I hope this dutch oven serves them well for years to come! I ordered to pickup at the store, and the box was a little torn up. I was slightly disappointed since this is a gift, but I decided to keep it since it was the last one in stock in any location near me.

I saw a recipe where this was used to make bread and I bought it immediately. It works! The bread comes out beautifully. Clean-up is easy. The only downside is that this dutch oven is HEAVY. The white color is gorgeous.

I purchased at the beginning of October 2022. I have used about 5 times. Initially it worked well and looked great. While hand washing, the enamel on the lid chipped in two places. It is outside of the return window so I’m unable to return to Target. Based on the price and the number of times it was used before it chipped, I would not recommend.

this cast iron is a good size with wide opening. not deep and narrow. the enamel didnt last long and im seeing cracks already. had it for 6 months. used it probably 6 times. had a diffrent brand casserole , had it for 10 years and going strong upto now. bottom line, if you can afford it, buy a diffrent brand,

Loved this Dutch oven at first, but after only a handful of uses(purchased two months ago) the perimeter of the lid started chipping. I keep it on top of the stove and am very careful while handling so I’m not sure why this happened. It doesn’t look nice enough to store on top of the stove now..disappointed in quality

I love this Dutch Oven. I use it primarily to make bread. It cleans up super easily, and I've had no issues with chipping. It comes with 6 pot protectors. Save them and use them to avoid chipping and moisture build up during storage.

I love this style regardless of this particular purchase. The imperfections are visibly unsettling on this particular purchase; cover wasn't sanded/buffed before painting so it appears. All other factors are wonderfully designed.

What have I been missing?! I’ve never owned one of these until now. I had been wanting one, this one popped up on sale randomly and I went for it. It’s heavy and great quality. I had no issues with chips or anything. The trivet is great too! I’ve used this twice to roast a whole chicken and hand washed only. Cooked everything well, no issues with retaining heat. I even preheated it with no issues. Only wooden or plastic utensils to avoid potentially scratching. Again, no issues with chips, cracks, discoloration. I’m very happy with this purchase and am looking forward to using it more for some great fall roasts and dishes.

Terrible quality. It arrived with several chips in the enamel—enough so that you could hear the flakes of enamel sliding around in the box before opening. Returned this product and won’t be rebuying after seeing all of the other comments. Seems like the enamel is really a weak point for this product.

Quality is terrible - ordered and it arrived chipped in several places. Targets fabulous customer service sent me a new one - that one arrived with a huge chip as well. Returned both.
