Maxi-Cosi Pria Max All-in-One Convertible Car Seat

I hate this car seat with every fiber of my being. It is so difficult to install, I can never get it tight enough so I don’t feel comfortable using it to keep my child safe and had to buy a different brand. What a waste of money.

I wanted to love this product but we've had several issues with the fabric & straps. The fabric piled within one month of using the seat and the straps and become less and less reliable. The straps no longer tighten and are now a safety concern for our child. We had to buy another car seat due to the safety of the straps falling off our child's shoulders every time they sat in the seat.

I wanted to love this. We had the infant carrier and loved it. However this car seat leaves bruises on my child’s back. I’ve tried everything to make it stop, all off the suggestions, confirmed it is installed right and nothing is helping. And cannot get anyone to talk to me about it. Save your money!

We’ve had 2 of these car seats (one for my car + one for my husband’s truck) for over a year now and both still are in like-new condition with almost zero pilling, no tears, no stains, etc. and we use it for our 2.5 year old boy. We’ve had our fair share of snack spills, muddy shoes, etc. and I am impressed with how well it has held up. The install is quick & easy as well as the cleaning. We are about to purchase a second set of the same car seat for our 10 month old we like it so much! The picture was taken right before writing this review after being clean (it does have some dog fur I haven’t lint rolled off yet).

The Maxi Cosi Pria All-in-One is a horrible, unsafe car seat. From the very first use, the strap that tightens the chest harness gets stuck, not allowing us to tighten the harness all the way, making the seat incredibly unsafe & really unable to be used. Additionally, the shoulder straps get twisted every single time which all parents know is super annoying. I reached out to Maxi Cosi customer service two months ago letting them know we were having this issue and I never heard back. Horrible customer service. We were unable to return this item since I received it as a baby shower gift and since this seat is generally for toddlers we didn't try it until our daughter was about 1 years old, which means the product is outside the return window. We cut our losses and ended up buying the Evenflo Revolve360 and we LOVE IT.

Have had it a few weeks and love everything about it so far! The magnetic chest clip is so satisfying. My son is 10 months, 22 lbs, and 30 in. He is always so comfy and sleeps so well in the car

I loved this car seat for the first year or so that we had it. Now, my 2.5 year old is constantly sliding her shoulders out of the straps. I am very particular about car seat safety and strapping her in properly. These straps have to be coming loose at some point after I put her in the car seat for this to happen. Every time I see that the straps are off, all I can think is that if we got in a car accident she would be dead!! Would not recommend this carseat for toddlers that are old enough to fidget. We invested in this to grow with her, but now have to purchase something different.

My baby has sat in this about 6 times and the fabric is already ripping at the seam. Not impressed for the amount paid for the seat.

I love this car seat. Its stylish, and the quality of the material is nice. The head piece for when your child is older is thick and nice. I have been in a car accident with this car seat and it held up perfectly. My child didn't suffer whiplash or anything. Wasn't sore the next day. For reference, my child was 5 years old and in booster mode when we were in an accident. Highly recommend this carseat. Very comfortable.

I used it for a month for number of days but the car seat looked like i used it for years. i dont recommend it.

Was between this car seat and the Nuna Rava. Obviously the price difference was enough for us to really want to like the maxi cosi. Unfortunately, we found similar issues that others have complained about. Upon opening the box, the car seat was just sitting in the box. No protective packaging.. nothing. It was also sent from Target Return Center so I already had a feeling it wouldn’t be good lol. The smell was noticeable immediately. Nothing like I’ve experienced with any child product. The material is nice and soft and looks very appealing. We thought if the smell was the only downfall, we could easily wash it as that was a big + for this seat! Nope. The fit in the car was awful. We have a SUV, but even so, the seat took up so much width in the back that the front seats could barely move back. We installed using the latch system, and the whole car seat could move side to side and back to front so easily even on the tightest pull. Unfortunately, we returned and purchased the Nuna Rava and are extremely pleased with it so far! Worth the extra $200 😵💫

The installation was absolutely terrible, there’s also a horrible, horrible smell coming off it, it’s making the entire car stink and I could smell it on my daughter, it’s like formaldehyde. I’m super disappointed.

Love the color of this car seat, I got the oatmeal color. So pretty. I’ve washed it twice now and had no issues.

fabric smells really strong of chemicals

I’ve had this car seat since my son was about 8 months and he is now 4 and a half. It has been through so many stains, accidents, and even my 55lb bulldog sitting on it. The seat still looks brand new and there are no rips! I will be passing this seat down to my second child when he is big enough.

Purchased during car seat trade in event and got a phenomenal deal on this car seat. I have been an avid Britax person for the last 9 years but have seen so many good reviews of this car seat which were pros to my caveats of Britax so I went for it! I had high expectations and this car seat came in low. PROS: 3 things - I love the cup holders are so easy to install and remove to clean them out and the latch belt has a button to release it so it is very easy to loosen compared to other brands where you have to manually release it which is hard to do! I also love that the chest clip is magnetic and there are holders on each side though they don’t seem to work. Also the base clips when they tangle or get twisted it’s very easy to undo them because the clips are plastic and have some extra space though they’ll probably twist more often because of it. CONS: it SMELLS HORRIBLE!!!!! I don’t even think washing it will help! The base is very flimsy and even on the third setting for rear facing the indicator line still isn’t level for my 13+ month old so not sure it will work for us based on that alone for our Lincoln Navigator L. I’m going to try it for a week or so and see is the smell goes away after being out of the box. Based on my first impression I would not recommend this car seat.

Unfortunately terrible smell I bought one and thought ok it’s defective i ordered a 2nd the smell is horrible doesn’t go away extremely toxic not sure how this chair with the smell is in the market it’s like a sharpie marker smell horrible

I love this car seat. I’ve had a Graco DLX as well as a Maxi Cosi Pria. The upgrades on this car seat are fabulous. I’ve not had any issues or safety concerns like other reviews have mentioned. I will absolutely buy another Maxi Cosi Pria Max!
