A: Hi Mimi B. We appreciate your interest in Maybelline Lifter Liner Lip Liner Pencil with Hyaluronic Acid. It can be sharpened with a cosmetic sharpener. For best results, turn the pencil gently in the sharpener 3 or 4 times, being careful not to apply excess pressure. After sharpening, remove all shavings from the blade edge. Your sharpener should be replaced whenever the blade has dulled and is no longer giving the expected results. We hope this information helps!

‘Line leader’ is a nice link for olive skin tones. Good application and doesn’t feel drying. I’m about to bin a few older pencils which look waxy compared with the Maybelline

I would give it 5 stars but unfortunately I have purchased multiple pens and all of them failed to work properly and dispense more product like a typical pen when twisted at the bottom. I can’t justify this product costing what it does when the only product you can actually use only last about 4 days.

This is the BEST lip liner I've ever bought - all others were too dry or tugged when applying or waxy or whatever! This one is smooth, long lasting, good color saturation, non drying, easy to apply - I bought all colors except for the darker ones. I wear this as a lipstick - I had bought the colorstay liquid that supposed to last all day but those are cakey and awful. These are perfect as a full lip color.

Nice color but you only get 3-4 uses out of it because it sharpens so ugly. The outside of the pencil is so thick. Also it smudges down very fast. Making it go flat quick

I absolutely love everything about this lip liner. It is smooth and easy to apply but stays on all day even after eating and drinking. I love the color I got (line leader) it’s is perfect for me and my skin tone. I don’t have a problem sharpening it either, I think it’s just a matter of having a good sharpener.

Good liner. Not transfer-proof, but stays on pretty well throughout the day (photo is 8hr wear after eating, drinking). Colors are pretty spot on in regards to looking natural and blending with different products in different lip combos. Product is easy to apply and color is pretty darn pigmented so it is easy to overdo if not paying attention. However, it is possible to blur or blend out before it completely sets. After that, it is on! Really like, will purchase other colors!

Love the lifter lip series! Glides on easy and is long wearing! I'm a former Clinique employee and would say this stands up to the more expensive brands! I've bought several colors. The only small draw back is you have to manually sharpen it.
