Q: Is this for baking ?

A: I have used it in brownies and chocolate cake. Makes the chocolate taste better. Works great for baking.
submitted byAmy - 7 years agoA: It is perfect for baking, but I use it mostly for drinks. I like espresso or very strong coffee so I add this to the weak coffee at work or instead of spending $ at a coffee shop. Although it can't replace a fresh pulled espresso, I like it a lot. This is much stronger (& better tasting) than any regular instant coffee I've found. It also makes great tiramisu. My favorite use though is a coffee 'smoothie' - like a blended coffee but with a healthy twist. Dissolve it in a small amount of warm water (if you add the powder directly with cold ingredients it won't mix well), and blend with coconut milk (some already frozen into 'ice cubes'), protein or vitamin powder, agave....delicious! And without the million calories, sugar, and un-pronounceable ingredients in the coffee shop version.

The taste is terrible. It comes out watery every time. Doesn’t have any flavor of espresso to it whatsoever. I add more than a teaspoon from the recommended ratio and it still tastes unpleasant.

Better than I expected. Dissolves very well in hot water. Does not smell like espresso roast at all. But tastes great. I was making iced cofee with instant coffee before, and this is better. It's more concentrated. I don't recall seeing mg's of caffiene per serving. That would be helpful. PSA: too much stimulants can be too much for your heart, so consume responsibly.

This stuff is magic. I am new to making coffee at home and using any instant coffee/espresso powders, but it gives me a peace of mind that even Ina Garten uses this in her recipes! I love to combine this instant espresso powder with water, white chocolate sauce, and milk/half n half to make my own DIY iced coffee at home, i love it!

Wow!! Grabbed this one on the clearance rack and now repurchased on regular basis. If you like espresso drinks but don’t have a espresso machine this is for you!! Super easy to make I boil it with quarter cup milk and than add a teaspoon and pour water as I’m mixing and it’s everything. So much better for you than regular coffee,tons of antioxidants.

If you enjoy a dark roast coffee and are looking for that taste here with this instant coffee please keep looking. You will be disappointed just how I was. Even after adding in about 1/5 of the bottle to make a 16oz coffee this was like drinking incredibly watered down drip.

This is the best instant coffee I’ve tasted, and I’ve tried a lot. It’s bold and smooth. Don’t let the price or small bottle fool you. It lasts a while and tastes more expensive than it’s price. I’ve been drinking it for probably a couple years now.

Do not buy. I wish I had believed the reviews that said it didn't have flavor because so many people wrote positive reviews. As a comparison, Delallo has a really good instant powder. This one is a waste of money.
