I am so happy I found these patches. I used one on my lip to cover a cold sore. It was so secure and so discreet. I covered it with makeup a couple times and no one noticed it. People hardly noticed it without makeup too. You can also cut them to make them smaller if needed. It prevented my cold sore from scabbing and honestly made the entire experience of having a cold sore a lot easier. I think because of the lack of scab, the cold sore healed faster, but still like 10 days of wearing the patch. I also liked having a barrier on the cold sore so I didn’t have to in the back of my mind think about it spreading. My only regret is not using these years ago. I will always use these for any cold sore I get.

Educate yourself on cold sores
I love them. A lot of these low reviews seem to carry some ignorance. Cold sores always get worse (usually larger too) before they get better unless you are under treatment of Valtrex or your body reacts quickly to Lysine or Abreva creams. I haven’t had any issues with them staying on my lip for 12 hours, but I ensure my lip and surrounding area is clean/dry - if I eat anything that requires a utensil or food rubbing against my lip, it does need to be replaced - that’s a bit of a bummer. Other than that, these patches are the bee’s knees! I can cover my sore and not worry about the blister fluid contaminating my surrounding areas or my toddler who frequently gets very close in my space. They are slightly pricey but worth the cost to “contain” the sore fluids.

Unuseable
Out of the whole package only two were useable. All the rest stuck to the green part, even tweezers couldn't pull them up. Very disappointed.

I cannot say enough great things about this product. I have told everyone I know that gets cold sores about these!! I have used them quite a few times now and I am amazed every time!! This time i woke up with a huge cold sore. The kind you could see from space. I wore the patch to bed for 2 nights and by day 3 it was pretty much gone!! I still can't believe it. So grateful I found these. They are secrete and you could wear them during the day as well as i have done both. I feel like they even hide it a little. Highly recommend!

Great idea, just not great ease of application
Bought these for the first time yesterday, and was very excited to use these due to its seemingly convenient and discrete claims. I read the directions numerous times before even attempting to apply one. I think I went through three before I even got one that the patch actually came off of the green applicator. This morning it came off on its own in the shower, after the shower on completely clean and dry skin, I attempted to apply another one. Wasted four just trying to get them to come off of the green applicator or clear sheet. I’ve gone through about eight in two days and have only applied two effectively. I’m so disappointed and feel like this purchase was such a waste of money. They are a great idea don’t get me wrong, but the amount of them that you waste just trying to get one that works properly is very discouraging.

Great Idea, Terrible Packaging
I was really disappointed with these Mederma cold sore patches. The packaging makes them nearly impossible to remove without tearing the patch. I followed the instructions, used dry hands, and tried peeling carefully, but the patch kept sticking to the backing and ripping. For something meant to be applied precisely, this design is incredibly frustrating. Definitely not worth the hassle.

Love it!
I love these. They stay put. I don’t like how I can feel it flip up from the part inside my lip when I eat but it doesn’t rip off and lays back down fine. I always dealt with my scab ripping off over and over again and it could take forever to heal. This is essentially the scab. You’re just managing it, so it skips a lot of the healing time.

I have had cold sores for decades. I’ve tried numerous products to no avail. My wife came across your discreet healing patches as i was suspect of results. To my amazement, the patches performed better than any previous patches.My healing time went from two plus weeks to just a few days. More importantly I did not experience the pain of the cold sore at all. I thank your company for providing a resource that provides immediate relief.

Waste of money!
While this patch helps to conceal my cold sore, I haven’t seen much in the healing process. There are also 3 out of 10 patches that I used so far that stick on the green container and I couldn’t use it. What a waste!!

Great product
These cold sore patches are great. Especially for overnight while I'm sleeping and can't keep applying medicine. Please make a variety pack of different sizes. Sometimes my cold sores are much smaller and directly on my lip, and a smaller patch would suffice for during the day and would be less noticeable.

I feel they need to be some patches need to be different sizes because if you have a bigger one you have to either leave part uncovered or use 2 to cover it up. I love the the patches help to conceal it in an inconspicuous way.

When my cold sore started to scab up, that's when I started using these patches. The scab was so bright red and uncomfortable that I decided to try them. I'm quite impressed with how well they are helping to heal the rest of the way. When I took the first one off at the end of the day, the big red scab came off with it, and it started looking so much better. I would not put these on until after the sore begins to scab up though. I gave it one less star because it was kind of a learning curve to get them on at first. I wasted three of them before I figured it out.
