Design flaw
The concept is great. We love Melissa and Doug products and my 2 year old immediately jumped in matching letters to boards. However, the issue is the double sided design of the boards. This can be really frustrating to a toddler who can’t find the letter they are looking for, adults flipping their completed work to search for other letters can be upsetting and play time is cut short when their frustration inevitably interrupts and ends their engagement with the activity. If the boards were single sided this would be a love and 5 star.

Pass on this
It’s double sided, my kiddo is on the spectrum and loves to line up things so this is one of those things we hide so it’s not overwhelming for him. If you want just one sided you have to get two sets. Not worth it. It’s definitely nice but not practical.

Great quality. My grandson loves it. I wish beautiful wooden box came with cover to keep all letters and cards together, organized without loosing them. Cost me another $5 to buy storage box. And I had to transfer them all into my cheap looking container and get rid off beautiful wooden box:( Reason for 3 stars
