We feed our outside cats this all the time. I think they like it. I think it also does control hairballs a little bit but not all the time. The outside cat does have hairballs every once in a while. The texture is gritty if touched with your fingers. I have never had a the bag rip on my on accident and I like that the bag shows the meats and what the cat food looks like.

I've done this with all of their catfood before putting into a larger plastic storage container and never had issues. Their normal store brand food was in their dishes right by the bag, barely out of view in the pictures. However my kitties ignored their food that they have loved their whole lives (minus being a kitten with kitten food) and tore open this bag to eat it! I managed to catch one of them in the act! But dont be fooled! This was a team effort from 3 cats. They sometimes will have stomach issues if i change up the brand, so usually not even a sale will get me to buy something new. However, we didn't have a single incident of upset kitty tummies! Judging by how eager they were to get into this food, and how fast they went through it, i need to give it 5 stars. I know they would if they could talk.

After trying this, he has stopped throwing up and his hairballs have been under control. The shape of the food was attractive to him. It is definitely my go to food for him now.
