A: Depends on your washing machine. Some have a place for softener so you can put it since the beginning the older ones you have to wait for the rinse cycle

Q: I know that all other fabric softeners are not recommended for use in septic systems. Is this fabric softener safe for use in septic systems?

A: yes all method products are safe for septic tanks including the liquid fabric softener. that’s because all of the ingredients in our products are readily biodegradable. method products contain no phosphates, hydrocarbons or other septic-problem chemicals.

So I have sensitive skin and this does NOT irritate MY skin. I’ve been using (and continue to use) fragrance free detergent and I was using the wool balls then add lavender oil to them. I wanted a different scent and something that would last me a bit longer than what a 1oz lavender oil bottle does. My friend uses the detergent version and her clothes smelled so good, so I looked up so see if there was a fabric softener version and there it was.
