Midea 20 Pint Cube Smart Dehumidifier for Spaces up to 1500 sq ft

Great purchase. Easy setup and performs better than expected. Dropped humidity in unfinished basement from 68% to 45% within 24 hours.

As another reviewer noted, this dehumidifier blows out hot air. This makes it mostly useless because it's needed during the seasons with the most humidity - when it's warm. It works about as well as a space heater in a medium sized room and even raised the temperature in a mid-sized basement room.

We bought this dehumidifier for our 936 sq. foot basement, and it says on the side of the box that it is effective for spaces up to 2,000 sq. feet, but that seems to be incorrect, as we've left it running for over a week now, and it hasn't been successful in significantly lowering our basement's humidity. Will have to return it for a more effective model, frustratingly.

I really like the larger water tank. I empty just once a day. Very convinient. But it blows hot Air and heats up the room so I have to run more AC to cool.

Sucked the dampness out of our basement and would like to buy another...BUT...would prefer BLACK. When do you expect this colour to be available for purchase. Cheers!

Cleared up the humidity in the basement in about 12 hours. Works great

The unit works fine but I have never had a dehumidifier that kicks out hot air so yes the humidity seems to go down but it also warms the room up unless you run an AC at the same time which makes the dehumidifer not needed since AC's take moisture from the air anyways. It is weird as when you first turn it on, 15 minutes or so, it kicks out cold air and then turns hot so no idea what is up with that. I got mine from their I think it was indiegogo campaign but had I know it would produce so much warm air, I wouldn't have ordered it.

Just arrived in Alabama from Arizona. Living full time in my 29 foot rv. Its so humid in Alabama that my bedding was damp. This dehumidifier holds my rv humidity about 50% which is perfect. Not to humid but not to dry to cause dry skin. Love it. Its pretty quiet. My air conditioner makes more noise when it kicks on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love this dehumidifier it's very quiet and really easy to set up.You have the option of separating it and docking right on the bucket it was nested in for easy catching of the water and it has a little see thru gauge so you can see how full it is and once full just separate and empty the bucket.Also you have the option of placing it above a drain and connecting the included hose so you never have to worry about emptying any bucket.I downloaded the Midea app which lets me control the unit with my phone which was really easy to set up and a nice convenient extra for this system.

It sucks moisture out of the air efficiently and economically (it uses minimal power!) The Smart WiFi features are basic and a great step to enter into smart-home living (if you aren't already.)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this a few weeks ago and immediately tried getting it set up and connected to my home wifi and smart home system. My entire house is "smart" from the light bulbs to the garage door and thermostat. I was excited to add a dehumidifier to the mix as I have a very wet crawl space under part of the house. The physical setup of the Cube went well, very easy to do and understand. The wifi and app setup did not go so well. I understood that the Cube only supported a 2.4ghz network and knew it shouldn't be an issue since I have so many devices running on that frequency. Unfortunately the app failed over and over to see the Cube as well as my network. No such luck connecting. I tried calling support and the tech person didn't seem to have any answers at the time. The suggestion was to uninstall and reinstall the app...and that was about it. I'm in IT so I was way past that part and on to creating secondary wifi networks to see if perhaps there was a conflict, again without luck. I basically forgot about the Cube for a couple weeks and that was the best possible thing. I decided to try connecting one last time and there finally was an app update! Once I had the updated app, the setup of the Cube was super quick and easy. I then added the Midea dehumidifier skill to Alexa and everything was functioning perfectly! The Cube does a great job removing dampness from the environment and I was very impressed with the amount of water it collected in such a short time. With the smart functions working properly, now I'm able to monitor when it needs to be emptied and adjust the humidity set points. I would give it five stars but the frustration setting up the smart abilities before the app update lost Midea one.

We were looking for a humidifier for the longest time and I am so glad we received this one! It's small and doesn't take up a lot of room, it's also easy on the eyes. The best part is that is does it's job so well! The wifi, smart features make it so easy to control. I am just so happy with this dehumidifier, it's perfect!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Where I live it doesn't usually get above 30-40% humidity, but sometimes during the hotter days it can reach 50-60%. That's usually really hot days though. So, I didn't expect to collect much water. However, after running it for a few weeks it has definitely leveled out our humidity in the house to about 28% consistently. It took about 3 days to fill the bucket so it does a good job. It's very easy to dump the bucket and I like how portable the unit is. Very good design.

It's very easy to use either with a hose or the collection bucket and the portable and compact design makes if simple to move with the least amount of effort. It works very well and the smart app was a cinch to set up so that i can control it from anywhere in the house. It does have a fan at the top you can turn on which I don't quite understand - if the purpose is to extract moisture from the air, it seems the fan would be counter-intuitive? Not sure... anyhow, you can run the fan either alone or in sync with the dehumidifier. I did try it in my basement but my upstairs bedroom gets so hot and humid in the summer so with the weather getting warmer I will probably move it upstairs (since it is so easy to move) and see how it does once the humidity really sets in. All in all I think it is a great choice especially if you are short on space and don't constantly need a dehumidifier running.

It was incredibly noisy to the point where we could hear it running from upstairs. I was super excited to try the Midea Cube 20-Pint Smart WiFi Dehumidifier because of its compact size as well as its ability to connect to Wi-Fi. When it arrived, I was surprised by its weight. It's pretty heavy however it's a really nice compact size. We have a countertop and sink in the basement and this fit perfectly on the countertop so that I can empty the water right into the sink. My first impression upon using is how quiet it is compared to my last one. We had a few cold days in a row but as soon as spring weather arrived, I got the cube running to help prevent mold and mildew from forming in our basement. It also helps to prevent the floor (we have hardwood floor) from rising due to humidity in the basement. This was a problem we had when we first moved in. I have it set to the smart setting so that it adjusts to the humidity levels of my home on its own. I also like that you can adjust the time settings so that you know when you need to empty it! I can't wait to see how this fares in the summer!
