Costway Dehumidifier for Home Basement 32 Pints/Day 3 Modes Portable up to 2500 Sq. Ft Blue/Pink/Yellow

Needed a dehumidifier for a 6x9 walk-in bedroom closet that was having mold/mildew issues. The door is always left fully open with a small ceiling fan in the closet. Humidity has been 70-80's outside and it's been 60's in the closet. I got the blue which is a nice 50's vintage-y shade. After using it for a couple weeks, here is what I found: 1. Easy to use. Just like any compressor, be sure to let it sit upright for 24 hours PRIOR to turning it on to let the compressor fluid/oils all settle to the bottom. There's a big label on the front of the unit to remind you of this. 2. Some of the text/images on the control panel buttons might be too small to read for some. 3. The Auto mode RH settings range from 20-80% in 5% increments only (so 20-25-30, etc.) 4. Casters are small-ish, but decent. Good enough to spin the unit around for emptying the tank/repositioning, but not so good for rolling over thresholds and probably not carpet. 5. The tank lid has a couple openings in it in addition to the drip area that catches the water. I plan on installing a mini sump pump and running the hose/cord through the existing openings into a larger plastic jug so I don't have to empty the tank every day and prevent spilling. Since mine is in the closet there's no drain available and I've already spilled some water removing/carrying the tank out. The water is MAYBE only 1/2 inch from the lip of the tank when the float automatically shuts the unit off and the hand hole to pull it out is at the bottom so water can easily splash/spill from the openings in the lid if it's not held completely level. Why I deducted stars: After contacting the company and several days of troubleshooting/emails (including purchasing one analog and 2 digital hygrometers), I discovered that the built-in hygrometer is very inaccurate and off by 8-10%. The unit was removing moisture, but since it thought the RH was much higher than it actually was, it kept running as it never reached my goal setting of 45%. The company offered me a partial refund after telling me the room is too big based on the video/photos/issues I sent them. I reminded them it's a 54 sq ft closet and then accepted their offer. Now I adjust the Auto settings based on what my hygrometers are telling me instead of what the unit thinks and my RH is now right where I need it.

I like that the dehumidifier is working well and low noise at night. But the light is a bit to bright so I cover it with a papper as the same coverage spot. It does help on keeping humidity low but I feel like it could be better. I want my room humidity to be 30- but it stays in the 40-50 then slowing goes to 30 depending on the weather. I would recommend this brought works great

DO NOT BUY. At first, this worked great. Really sucked the moisture out of the air. Then, less than a year after I bought it, it started freezing over and no defrosting on its own causing it to stop working. Costway has terrible customer service, refuses to help troubleshoot your problem. Talked to target who then had to relay my questions to costway. Neither will do anything to rectify the situation and the freezing over worries me for electrical issues. You’re better off with the ones half the price on other sites. Also- stay away from costway products. Their customer service is useless

Very humid summer and this dehumidifier has been a CHAMP. Floored by how much this thing pulls out of the air and how fast. Strong enough that I’d say may not be ideal for rooms with lots of plants.

I like this product. I think it works well. I bought it for my ~350 sq. ft. studio apartment in VA. It has a lot of storage for the water, just a little awkward pulling the tank out to empty, especially when full, since there's only a cut out at the bottom to pull it out but no handle to carry, so it can be precarious sometimes but I don't mind. My plan is to keep it running 24/7 during humid summer months. I've had it for a month now and I empty it about 2-3x/day so it really works! I like that it has wheels so I can easily move it around when needed. I don't think it's very loud but that's because I don't mind "white noise" type sounds. The sleep mode is nice for dimming and quieting even more. I'm not one to post reviews but I wanted to for this dehumidifier in hopes it will help others when they're researching dehumidifiers.

Description states for use in 2500 ft.2 area but the water tank is so small. You have to empty it at least three times a day. The design of The dehumidifiers is very nice

Cons: makes water gurgling/draining noise that is loud enough it has woken me up and it makes this noise a lot. Thought the decible rating is great on this, there's a high pitched hum I keep hearing. Even in sleep mode the unit's lights are so bright, I have to cover them with a towel! While the pros below are great, I still am considering returning as these cons might be deal breakers for me... Pros: cute, quiet (except the two things mentioned above, it works, and I like the size.

I like this machine very much, it is very quiet, good moisture absorption, and good dehumidification. It is easy to set up, easy to move, and quickly removes moisture from the basement. It dries everything out and works great! My house is no longer damp. This product is great!

The dehumidifier works great I can check the humidity and change the settings on the panel and also with the remote control it was very easy to unpack the box just opened it and pulled out the dehumidifier there were no additional fasteners it was quite light and the installation was very simple just had to connect a few items and turn it on everything is ready works fine I\'m happy

This dehumidifier is great. Beautiful appearance and generous. Best of all, it dehumidifies very well. Much, much more efficient than the other dehumidifier in my house. And the function is rich, the operation is very convenient and very recommended.

It has good quality and strong water absorption. It can absorb two buckets of water a day. It is very practical for me.

if you don\'t have a particular requirement, just plug in and press power on, done. It will work. That\'s what i do. When i turned it on, it showed my room level is 79. After about 2 hours, it reduced to 69. The noise is acceptable, much less than my cleaning robot and little bit more than dishwasher. I do like the auto drain option. It\'s a little bit heavy, but the rolling wheels help.

This is my first dehumidifier. I bought this for my baby's room and loved it so much.after two days of using the dehumidifier, the unit appears to be working well. The noise level isn't high and works fast, kept my baby's room between 45-60 (humidity) wise. And I like the modern design and color. Definitely worth the money!!!

Dehumidifier works well, and it is pretty quiet. You have to empty it pretty much every twelve hours, and it can raise the temperature in small rooms from the energy output, but those are the only downsides.
