Q: I note the specifications indicate that the capacity is 4 gallons. Exactly what does this capacity refer to? THe dimensions indicated for the device do not seem to be adequate to hold 4 gallons.

Q: Will the unit run once the power has gone off and then been restored or will it remain off until the button is pushed? Is it possible to use a hose to continuously drain this?

A: Hi Z, Thank you for your question! A drainage hose can be added to the Pure Enrichment Dry Deluxe Dehumidifier (we do not sell the hose) for convenient set it and go. The one rubber stopper is used to block the small hole at the bottom of the hose hookup tube. This particular tube is specifically for a hose hookup to drain when running the unit long-term. When in use the rubber stopper can be moved to the other tube. It has to be turned on manually. Died after 5 months
Bought this about 5 months ago and the unit just stopped working. Nothing is blocking the units airflow, the water tank is empty, we have moved the unit to different places and there is just zero response when trying to power the unit. Seems to happen often to other customers

Have bought 2 of them over the last 2 years. Each one lasted about 9 months and then would not turn on. Have checked what I can but does not turn on. Buy a more reliable unit as this one has a short life.

Does Not Work
Does Not Work - do not purchase. Have a very damp house, moved it to several different rooms and it picks up very little moisture. Makes a lot of noise but does not work, waste of electricity & money

Worked for a year
Purchased a little over a year ago and it worked perfectly. Ran in a small bathroom after showers. Now it won’t turn on at all. Made sure the bucket is empty, opened up the air intake to ensure everything is clean and in place and still not working. Very frustrating and from the other reviews it appears this is a common issue. Hope it can get resolved or this will be the last Pure purchase i make.

I bought two and both died within 4 months!!!
I see a few reviews here that show this product should not be purchased. I also bought one in October 2024 and it stopped working in January 2025. I previously purchased one in the summer of 2024 that died in September of 2024. I thought it was a fluke so I purchased it again. Nope. Not a fluke. It’s a horrible product. Don’t buy it.

Stopped Working but Before That Was great
Title says it all, but we bought two. One stopped working within 4 months, the other is still working. Our friends have one that worked for a year, so some appear to be faulty. This item is too expensive for it to just stop working with no repair possible. Easy to use for those that do work, and definitely pulls water if it does work.

Very Effective
More effective than I anticipated. A bit noisy on the high levels but seems to work very well. I had a lower cost, non-brand name prior to purchasing this one, and it seems to draw about 20 percent more water from the air in about a 400 sq ft room, as long as it's kept on high. So far, so good.
