[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first time using any Mielle products. In fact, I have never even heard of this brand until it was sent to me to review. The first thing I noticed when I opened up the jar is the AMAZING melon scent. You can really feel the conditioner working its magic upon initial application. It goes on smoothly and instantly detangles my long, fine hair. My hair feels so moisturized and smells wonderful after it dries. I usually don’t care too much for conditioners because I haven’t really used one that made a difference but this one right here……HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

It's light, it smells good, and left my hair feeling baby soft, which is a must for me since my hair is color treated.

I don't know know if it should be left on longer then 2 minutes depending on your hair or if that would even make a difference, but I will never purchase this product nor will I recommend the deep conditioner to anyone that I know.

It left my wavy hair look controlled and smooth . The smells is more of a tropical chemical smell then the cucumber melon pictured on the label .

The Mielle Kalahari Melon & Aloe Vera Deep Hydration Shampoo is a great first step in the journey to hydrate dry and thirsty hair. It lives up to its promise of gently cleansing and moisturizing without stripping. While I need to evaluate the entire collection to see if it delivers on the 5-day hydration claim, the shampoo has definitely made a positive first impression. I'm excited to try the rest of the collection and see if my hair can finally experience long-lasting hydration!

The melon stands out, and it’s a vibe if you like fresh summery scents. It lathers pretty well without feeling too harsh. My hair felt clean but not stripped, which is what I reallly like. The aloe vera definitely helps if your scalp gets dry or irritated — mine felt calm after using it. Would recommend

The packaging is very cute and nice but I wish the spray nozzle was better made but I’m general is a very good product that I recommend for people with straight and curly hair. I tested the Mielle Kalahari Melon Leave-In Conditioner over several uses, aiming to improve moisture retention and softness for my color-treated, slightly damaged 1A hair. Here’s how it performed. This product has a sweet, fruity fragrance that’s quite strong—comparable to the intensity of Garnier haircare scents. It comes in a large squeeze tube with a plastic cap, making it easy to control the amount dispensed. The texture is a watery, lotion-like consistency—a little sticky and lacking in slip, which made application slightly challenging. It didn’t glide through the hair easily, which may be a drawback for those hoping for quick detangling. I applied the product in quarter-sized amounts to both damp and wet hair that had been partially dried. While it added a nice immediate shine, it didn’t provide any noticeable detangling benefits, which was disappointing. After application, my hair felt a bit greasy, and there was a noticeable increase in buildup after a couple of uses. I could tell it would likely reduce the number of days I could go between washes. That said, the conditioner did a decent job at frizz control and offered mild styling support—particularly helpful when air-drying. However, this effect didn’t last more than a few hours. On the plus side, I experienced no scalp irritation or sensitivity. But given the weight and buildup, this formula may be too heavy for fine or low-density hair types, especially if used regularly. The Mielle Kalahari Melon Leave-In Conditioner does the job, but not in a way that stands out from similar products at this price point. I have long hair which is pretty thick and wavy. It’s prone to tangling and knots. My hair is also somewhat dry. This leave-in conditioner worked great at detangling and made it much easier for me to brush through my hair. I also felt like it locked in moisture to keep my hair hydrated and looking soft, shiny, and healthy. The consistency is somewhat thicker and resembles a regular creamy conditioner. It has a nice, light fruit/cucumber scent. The packaging is easy to use and I like the continuous sprayer that provides a long lasting stream of product. It also has a spray lock on top to keep it from leaking while traveling. I really enjoy this leave-in and I recommend it!

It also helps my curly hair keep its curl. Just be careful with spraying it as it can sometimes get on the floor and be a bit slippery. But other than that, fantastic product!
