Q: Product images show use on dishes, but a Q&A responaw says it is NOT food safe. Can you use this on a cup & then use the cup to drink coffee? If so, would the cup be dishwasher & microwave safe?

A: The Mod Podge Dishwasher safe formula should only be used on the exterior of cups. It should not be used on surfaces that will come in to contact with food. It can be used on the outside of a coffee mug. Please note : It is not intended to be used in a microwave.

A: Unfortunately, Mod Podge Dishwasher formula is not weather resistant and should not be applied to items for outdoor use.

I followed ALL of the instructions, even allowing extra time for drying in between coats, and curing for 5 weeks instead of 4 weeks. The very first time I put the bowls in the top rack of the dishwasher to wash them (even putting the letters/mod podge area face up, away from the spray arm), every one of them came out with the mod podge all bubbled and peeled. (Pictured are a couple of before and after the first wash photos.) I tried this on 18 different bowls, and the same thing happened on each one. What a huge waste of time!

I love the dishwasher glue. It helps adhere vinyl and glitter to my mugs. It goes in easy, and after a 2 to 3 coats sealing finishes, the glitter stays in place without sprinkling all over the place.
