Q: Does it work with New MacBook Air?
submitted by Marg - 5 years ago
A: Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately the latest Macbook Air only has USB-C ports so this would not work for it.

Works well, looks nice. The fit is snug. A slightly longer cord might be nice but all-in-all it is a well made USB hub.

I needed a multiple port USB hub because all the USB ports on my computer were used up. This product is the perfect solution.

This is a usable hub if you just want to plug in flash drives or something, but not for keyboard/mouse. It makes input very laggy.

Works, good looking, seems solid. And comes with an AC adapter, so can be used as a (low powered) charging station.

Some of the connections are a little loose. Fine as long as you bump it a lot
Powered hubs are always welcome to me

I needed an externally powered hub like this one because I run a drawing tablet(two USB outlets for power and data) and a USB SSD(also power hungry) and I was always running into random-rebooting issues. And now with THIS powered hub I can even run a USB keypad as well and not have to worry about power issues damaging my laptop anymore
Pretty good

Used it to connect 4 controllers to a laptop, and later just to keep track of my bluetooth chip. It's solid, works pretty well without external power as well.
Does the right things for the right price.

It is a bit tricky to get my iPad with the camera adapter usb dongle to accept the device. Apple suggests a power down, found the hub needs to be connected first without power and after it recognizes the dongle I plug it in. to know that it recognizes the dongle, I first plug in the usb light and wait for it to power on, the I attach the hub. I think this an Apple feature and not limited to this hub. Once it connects works great, sees my midi and mixer with good response. No issues on my pc.
It works, but

The only complaint is the overly bright LED, and on my hub, the USB ports must be misshaped somehow. I have to insert the male USB connection at an angle, and then push in forcefully. Otherwise, it works well once everything is plugged in.
Works well, but is noisy

While the device itself works quite well, it does throw off lots of EM / coil whine when powered by the included wall wart. When bus powered it does make any noise. Fortunately USB 3 delivers much more bus power than USB 2 meaning low energy devices (keyboards, mice, and even a USB audio interface) can all be powered without the need for an additional power input.

I like it! Now have “cordless mouse/keyboard”, flash drives and computer hard drive plugs, which frees up the two USB 3.0 ports in front of my PC. Looks good too!
No issues - external powered

If you need more USB 3.0 ports for items that need the full 500mA power to the device, then this externally powered 4-port hub is the thing for you! It comes with a 5V 2A wall wart.
