AND thought this unit like other such would be also able to b e used with usb2 devices as well. apparently not. so now i needed usb3 to lighting cables as well. Im hoping mono will send me three of those since ones they sent with this adaptwer were 2.0 to lightning.

I have a mac book and usually would rather plug in directly rather then use wi-fi because our wi-fi can be finicky. This allows me to have multiple items plugged in easily - printer, doc camera, cricket, etc.

I bought this hub because I needed 4 USB-A ports for external keyboard, webcam, mic and USB DAC. Unfortunately the mic and DAC started behaving unreliably. Applications often could not see/use the devices, reboots did not fix. Swapping back to my previous 3-port hub (Monoprice Consul series) solved the problem. Disappointed I bought this product.

This accessory uses a non power pass though USB-C port to provide 4 USB 3.0 ports. I have been using it daily for about 3 weeks now with no issues. Device is well built and seems like it will last. I would recommend it if you need additional usb ports for your device.

Was actually looking for a cheap solution to a docking station so my at-home peripherals (keyboard, mouse, camera) could be plugged in one time. It does work for that. Especially on a 13 inch laptop with limited USB 2 connections. Only criticism is actually on me. I did not account for needing to have my monitor as a part of this. So if looking for USB 2 to USB 3, this works.
