The IP, or Ingress Protection, rating is a two digit value that indicates the level of protection provided by the cases. The IP67 rating of this case means that it provides complete protection against dust and other solid particles and that it can withstand up to 30 minutes of submersion in water at up to 1 meter depth.
The case is constructed of impact and ultraviolet resistant polypropylene and has a fully customizable foam interior for superior shock protection. A pressure relief valve allows you to slowly and safely equalize the pressure inside and out.

Really solid, well constructed case
This case is rock solid. I am very impressed with the quality. The hinges and latches especially are well made, and seem like they will last a long time. This fit my needs perfectly.

Great Option...Pelican WHO????
I bought this to carry a rather expensive piece of music equipment, and it turned out to be a fantastic option. The piece of equipment can be ordered with "suggested" cases by other "name brand" case makers, and I'm sure they are good cases. BUT, they also cost 2-3 times as much as this case, and I doubt the quality of those name-brand cases is 2-3 times as good as the Pure Outdoor case is.

So far, I'm satisfied with the purchase. It's a little heavier than I would have liked, and the foam is not as high quality as some competitors, but I went with the lower cost alternative, and got what I expected. It arrived in good condition, and hinges/latches seem to work fine. I use it more for organization than travel, so the weight is not a huge issue, and the foam is good enough. I do wish the customizable foam pieces were more cubed than the long pieces so that depth is more customizable.

This is an excellent hard case at a very competitive price.
This Monoprice Hard Case is perfect for my needs. It is very sturdy and the customizable foam packing allowed me to fit my telescope mount securely inside. I purchased it on sale and with free shipping. It was by far the most affordable storage case I found.
