The Munchkin Latch Trainer Sippy Cup is highly praised for its ability to help breastfed babies transition to a cup. Many guests found it to be the only cup their babies would accept after trying multiple options. The soft, flexible spout and easy-to-hold handles are standout features, though some guests experienced issues with leaking and difficulty in sucking.

This was a life saver!
This was the ONLY bottle I could find that my breastfed daughter (8 months) would drink off of. I am a stay at home mom of 2 and nursing myself always seemed easier than having to clean bottles. Well, oops time went by and I realized we hadn't tried a bottle yet. My daughter wouldn't take any bottle we had. I bought 5 different kinds. I saw this and it was my last hope. I did not have any issues with leaking. I always make sure the blue part is in all the way. The nipple can be tedious to clean with tall the grooves, but hey I will take it!

Works great but leaks
Tried a bunch of cups on my exclusively breastfed baby. This is the only one that worked. Only negative is that it does leak so I have to supervise him with it. It’s very easy to clean.

Water doesnt come out?
I'm not sure if it's user error or what but we can't get the nipple to work. nothing comes out when my baby tries to suck and I tried it and barely anything came out and I was sucking hard.

Good afternoon. The spouts to all of our cups, including the Munchkin Latch 4oz Trainer Sippy Cup, must be activated in order to work properly (including ease of drinking/prevention of backflow). First, remove the lid from the cup. Next, by holding the lid in your hand, squeeze the tip of the spout. You should see a slit inside the spout where the liquid goes through. By squeezing the spout, you will break the seal to allow the spout to activate and make them easier to drink from. This will then allow them to require less suction/make them easier to drink from. Finally, place the spout back into the cup ensuring that it is pushed firmly to the inside of the lid.

The only sippy cup that works
I tried 4 other cups that didn't work out - the baby couldn't hold them, nothing came out, too much came out. The handles make it easy to hold and the spout lets out a trickle without effort and a good amount of water if sucked

Good in theory, huge mess in reality
My one year old likes drinking out of these cups, the top is soft like a bottle top, and the handles are nice, but the suction valve at the bottom never works - it either doesn’t let air in or it leaks. We haven’t been able to fix the issue on three separate cups. We will definitely be returning all three. Bummer because my son does like them, they are just not practical because I keep having to open the top to reduce the suction or they spill everywhere from the bottom.

Nice
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My granddaughter loves her cup. I love not having a puddle when she experiments with turning it over.

Only cup my baby will use
This is the only cup that my 1 year old breastfed baby will use to drink from and we have tried several! Definitely would recommend for a picky breastfed baby.

Hard to drink from
Difficult to use- very hard to suck from. No problem with leaks & I like the lid, but both of my twins had difficulty with this. Handles are opposite of most other cups, too, which is confusing for LOs. Twins took to weighted straw cups & regular silicone bite valves well, though.

Thumbs up
We’ve only tried a small amount of milk but my EBF baby took well to it versus the NUK! FYI We haven’t had any luck with any bottle, and we’ve tried them ALL. Also Didn’t leak for us.

Good transition bottle
Liked this bottle- my child did well with it- transitioning from bottle nipples to trainer cups. The blue piece on the bottom comes out- and if not secured in well enough- will cause leaks.

Leaky and baby confusing
This is another cup that we tried, but failed with. All of my baby’s other cups have the handles flipped the other way, so she was constantly confused on how to hold the cup. It also has a blue rubbery piece stuck in the bottom that leaks badly.

Difficult to suck from
Great quality but extremely difficult to get fluids out of it. I can barely even suck water out of it.

Mold easily
Bought this in the hopes my bottle-hating baby would take to it no luck. When she did eventually start using sippy cups, we returned to this only to find it molds very quickly inside on the little rims below the mouthpiece. Ended up throwing it away

Fast flow with leakage
Got this for my 9mo old still learning to get a hang of using a sippy cup, this one has way too fast flow and leaking every where. Maybe be more suitable for older child or one that’s already good with using a sippy cup. This is NOT a transition training cup

My 5 month old son is exclusively breastfed and I’ve tried so many different bottles and he would not take them. I tried this trainer sippy cup and he took it with no problems!!
