MyPurMist Free Ultrapure Steam Inhaler

It was so good and then it broke. I have now had two. Both are broken and did so less than a year after purchasing. Both have red lights when I attempt to turn them on and then they immediately turn off. It's so disheartening as it really was helping my condition but I can't afford to keep buying them for it to just break a short while later.

Very pricey. The design of this product only allows you to use their plastic water capsules . you are unable to add water from your own source. And of course the water capsules are not inexpensive. There is no way to add any thing to the water, since the water capsules must be positioned flush onto the water refill chamber. 2 hour charge only lasts for 15 minutes of use.

The steam strength was low and after maybe 10 uses it stopped working. High price for the result.

I've bought 4 already nd they seem to break in a short time of use. All have broken the same way they just stop working. It seems like it's a Defective item and I will not buy another one. I dn't recommend it! It's too expensive to buy even year nd just use for the winter if I feel sick.

I absolutely LOVE IT… I suffer from severe sinus issues…& being a professional singer for over 35 years….it’s given me relief that I’ve been needing for years!!! After other vocalists suggested buying .. I first fought getting one .. but boy am I glad I did!! I’m now addicted to it!! My only complaint…… I am on my 2nd one… for the price there shouldn’t be SOO many issues with them not working !! I would suggest purchasing the Extended Warranty & registering with my Purmist…so that they will replace it when it goes bad. I bought mine at Target.,& got their warranty as well..& they have a 90 day return/ replacement policy.. Please improve the issues…. But u have a fan for life!! THANK U!! Audrey

After suffering from chronic sinus issues, I was so excited to find the Mypurist Free on the shelf at my local Target store. While it sat next to the $49.99 Vicks Personal Steam Inhaler, I opted for the $179 MyPurist Free, complete with an initial supply of their “special” Mypurist sterile water….thinking that the price difference would also mean a big difference in the Mypurist over the Vicks unit. After all, why scrimp when it comes to improving your health? Upon getting home, I decided to try out the unit. So, after unboxing it, I read the included instructions (and online information) which strongly encouraged that I needed to use only Mypurist water as any other type might cause damage to the machine. Upon reading many online comments, many users claimed that you could, in fact, use distilled water with no problems…a much cheaper alternative. So, I was left with the question….can you or can you not use distilled water? My first step was to charge the unit. The instructions stated that the charging should take two hours or less. It took over four hours to charge. I then proceeded to try to download the Mypurist app which, according to the instructions, could be found in the Apple app store. Unfortunately, there was no app to be found. Afterwards,I filled the unit with the Mypurist water and pressed the on button. No response. Again, no response. On the third try it turned on. When steam finally appeared, it lasted for less than a minute and the unit turned off. I turned it on again. It went another minute and it abruptly turned off again. This time some blue flashing lights appeared. Unfortunately, I found no documentation in the instructions as to what the blue lights meant. It didn’t take long for me to realize that I’d made a bad decision to purchase the unit and decided to pack it up and return it. While I was packing it up, I noticed another problem. The containers of Mypurist water that came with the unit had expired 8 months ago. I promptly returned the unit and purchased the $49.99 Vicks Personal Steam Inhaler, It uses pretty much any kind of water including tap water. It has a variable steam control and works like a charm. Unfortunately, and based on my experience, I could not possibly recommend that anyone purchase the Mypurist unit. In my opinion, it is grossly overpriced and “not ready for primetime”.

Im sure its works for many people as I read the reviews. Unfortunately, it is not a great solution for me. I used it once and would like to return it. Not sure what to do because I dont want anybody to use after me and it is a very expensive product. Please advise!

The inhaler was used and returned. This is not the first review stating this. Target needs to be more careful about reselling used health merchandise.

Purchased this for $150. It was opened and used! Missing the saline packets. This is very disgusting that Target resold this item. Now I have to go back to the store to return this.

Don’t Buy it from target mine was used it was disgusting and I really needed it because of my sinuses now I have to go back and return it. That’s so disgusting and so unsafe they put Something like this back on the shelves to sell after already being used

Would give zero stars if I could. I read reviews that other people had problems but I didn’t even get to use it once. Never produced steam and light turned red for no water when it was completely full. Returning immediately.

I've purchased both the classic corded version several years ago and the cordless version about 18 months ago. They really help clear your sinuses when they function properly, but they don't consistently produce steam. Thankfully my classic version decided to work when I had the flu a few years ago (after not working on several tries) and it really helped me feel better while I was sick. Afterwards, it stopped working, again, so I bought the cordless version hoping the function improved. It was easy to use and fill with the distilled water ampules that came with it and it worked wonderfully the first time I used it. However, it has not worked since (i.e., does not produce steam). I've seen that the company says the unit produces steam that's difficult to see, but none of the water in the reservoir is used up after an hour of running, which shows that nothing is happening. Very disappointed.

So happy I purchased this. I suffer from allergies and really have a tough time in the winter due to the dry air in the house. My purmist takes care of all those issues. No more sinus headaches and pain.

Easy to use, very reliable and consistent product!

Receive this product and was amaze on how well it works for me. As I suffer from asthma, sinusitis, and bronchitis. Give me quick relief as soon as I wake up in the morning to get up about my day. And at night to go to sleep. Will mention I did had a slight problem with the unit it was making a bit of a weird noise, contact customer support and they send me another unit under warranty. So happy with their customer support. Love love love this product.

I have a form of asthma and I cough a lot. Part of me thinks it might be Bronchitis though. Too bad my pulmonary doctor retired before I could tell him about this. Love it Love it Love it. I could not be more pleased. One thing I couldn't figure out is once you turn it off, it continues to run for 10 minutes to dry out. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has breathing problems, lung problems, allergy problems, etc. This is more $$ than I wanted to spend but so worth it.
