National Geographic 12 Days of Science

This is so cool. Science kits are normally pretty fun but I love the 12 day set up. There are also rocks included on random days which is pretty cool. The experiments look they will be exciting as well and I'm sure my child will love doing them. I really like how all of the ingredients, except water, are included in the kit. It also requires some home utensils and appliances which are, as of the kit instructions the day I received this: Microwave, Refrigerator, Microwavable bowl, Stirring Utensil.

The National Geographic 12 Days of Amazing Science Countdown Calendar is not just for the holidays! This awesome calendar can be used to countdown to birthdays, grandparent visits, end-of-school days, and just about anything else you can think of. It includes everything you need to make seven science experiments and discover five different rocks and fossils. The front cover of the box opens up exposing projects for the first day, then days 2-11, and finally your Last Day of experiments. There's a detailed experiment guide to follow along with including in-depth directions as well as colored pictures. The experiments include hiding a secret message, a critter molding lab, crystal fireworks, fool's gold, as well as discovering Geode and Amethyst. These are just a few of the experiments. I like that it educates my grandchildren while introducing them to science at the same time. The whole family enjoyed doing these experiments together and looked forward to each day we got to open a new one. Overall, I liked the whole concept of these experiments and this calendar. The cardboard slots were easy to open, and the directions were simple to follow along with. The fun was endless, and the joy I saw on my grandkid's faces was priceless.
