Description
Naturium Purple Ginseng Cleansing Balm is formulated with purple ginseng, plant-based esters, a nourishing blend of linoleic-rich oils and without PEGs or polyethylene. The sorbet-like formula emulsifies upon contact and melts into skin to dissolve makeup, oil, sunscreen and other impurities while leaving skin feeling clean, soft, smooth and nourished. Developed for all skin types.
To Use: Using dry hands, work a generous amount of the cleansing balm onto dry skin and add water to emulsify. Rinse thoroughly and follow with second cleanse, if desired.

I don’t recommend. I wanted to like this, especially for the price point, but it does not work well. It doesn’t break down like other cleansing balms I’ve used and leaves a greasy film on your skin. It feels like you can’t get it off without using a wash cloth or without use a sudsy second cleanser. Typically, the cleansing balms I’ve used fully dissolve and cleanse even before my second cleanser.

This product is nice and thick and feels luxurious when you take it out of the jar, warm the product in your hands, and apply it to your face...and that luxurious feeling stops there. I appreciate that this is frangrance-free. However, this product had trouble taking off my SPF and by BB cream on separate occasions. It leave a thick residue with all my sunblock / BB cream stuck in it. It absolutely won't come off with just water and you are forced to double cleanse with another cleanser to wash off the balm and the leftover residue from the day. I was sorely disappointed after having watched Susan Yara promote this on her facebook page. I have used other cleansing balms that can take everything off within the same price range. Will not be repurchasing this.

I bought this after seeing it recommended on TikTok. I want to use this for days I wear makeup, which isn’t too often. I used it tonight and I wish it came with a spatula so you can scoop the product out. Otherwise I’m mixing my fingers around trying to get the product on my fingertips, rubbing it on my face, then putting my makeup filled fingertips back into the product, thus far resulting in makeup getting in the product inside of the jar. It didn’t really emulsify, at least for me. I followed with my image cleanser. My face feels pretty waxy, but I kinda like it. It feels smooth. I can’t say it feels squeaky clean though, which is what I go for! I don’t love micellar water (or however you spell it), and makeup wipes aren’t great for the skin so idk. Maybe I’ll just stick to a double cleanse with my regular cleanser. Although, as I’m typing this, I am starting to get a little itchy. Eek hopefully it’s not because of the balm.

This cleansing balm is so thick it literally will NOT come off even with repeated warm water washes! I had to use a washcloth to wipe it off and then do my second cleanse. And afterwards I found makeup still on my skin! I tried this 4 times, using less and less product, really trying to work it in etc and it just does not work and leaves thick residue. I have tried all of the cleansing balms and tried this one in order to save a little money. Well, save your money, because this product is just awful. It’s worth it to get the competitor brands for more.

I wanted to love this but did not work out for me. It does not emulsify even after I warm on my hands before applying. It leaves a greasy film that does not come off with water like other balms. You have to use extra cleanser to remove greasy layer off your face. I can’t recommend.

I wanted to switch from a cleansing oil to a balm. This is the first one I've tried that isn't too occlusive for my skin. After finishing one jar a lot of my millia around my eyes cleared up. Overall it's my favorite and I'll continue purchasing it. Couple cons: It does burn a little if I get it in my eyes when taking my mascara off and I feel like the jar goes really fast. I wish the jar wasn't so big for how much product is in it, I will have to transfer balm to a smaller jar for travel and I'm not sure how well it will hold up because once you scoop it out it starts to get warm/melt immediately.

Half of the people said it emulsified well and half said it didn’t. I can confirm that it does not!!! Yes, it did remove my sunscreen but I had to cleanse this off 3 times and it still left a waxy later on my face. Shockingly, my face felt a bit dry after too. It also made my moisturizer pill due to the oily residue left behind. My fiancé started getting a bunch of pimples because of it. Going back to my trusty Garnier micellar water.

This is the worst cleansing balm I’ve ever used and I’ve used over a dozen. I used it for about 4 days and realized that I couldn’t continue to use it anymore. It didn’t take any of my sunscreen off and did not emulsify. On top of that, the product made my skin feel dry, cakey, and stripped. I already have dry skin and I did not like this product since it made my skin even drier. I am surprised that others like this product so much. Honestly, save yourself the disappointment and use another cleansing balm.
