Fix the plastic seal! The one provided is awful and compromises the quality of the product as plastic is everywhere. Not sure why they changed it. But change it back to an appropriate one that can be removed without plastic pieces everywhere. Will not purchase product again until the clear seal is replaced with the better (white) one that was previously used. Why make a product worse?!?

I absolutely love Tollhouse! Reminds me of my childhood and is the best tasting cookie in my opinion.

These taste delicious. They are easy to make and taste like they were made from scratch. I made them for son's birthday party and everyone loved them! Tastes especially great when warm or with vanilla ice cream!

I've been buying these tubs of cookie dough regularly for the last few years. I haven't bought any for a couple of months so was shocked when the taste was completely different. Not only did they taste bad but they also didn't bake well. The cookies barely flattened and were were not much bigger than when scooped onto the tray as raw dough. I did a Google search to see what had changed (aside from the container/lid) and am actually shocked to see Nestle say in the review comments that there has been no change. At least I know I'm not the only one with nasty tasting cookies.

Something has changed. This tub cookie dough used to be thick and chunky and make delicious cookies. This time, the dough was soft and whipped—scoopable like ice cream. 🤨 And it has absolutely NO flavor! Where is that sweet brown-sugary flavor of our favorite Toll House cookies. I get so tired of companies making changes to a good thing. We won’t be finishing this tub, and we will not be buying again. 🤮

I’ve been buying the large tub regularly for years, just purchased one and it tastes completely different. I’m not sure if it’s a new sweetener or just a bad batch, but it was awful. Anxious to see if the other product types are similar.

I’m going to echo the sentiment of the other 1 star reviews…PLEASE GO BACK TO THE OLD RECIPE. The majority speaks for itself, the change made in 2020 has not been for the better. It’s drastically altered the taste of everyone’s once favorite cookie and I will not be repurchasing until the product is fixed.

So I've noticed for like the last three years that toll house cookies taste differently. As they keep saying, they're changed their recipe in 2020 because some genius believed if would taste better. I completely stopped buying the break and bakes because they've never been the same, they're absolutely terrible. I found more luck with the tubs but now these are going down hill too. For the last couple months there's been so much inconsistency. Some tubs taste great and in some the dough is all light and crumbly or the chocolate chips don't taste right. In general they're just bad now. And I know they'll claim it's not a recipe change and they're probably right. I think they've been skimping on the money and product that goes into this cookie dough to put money into all the new stuff they've been releasing. Either way, in the last two weeks I've bought four tubs, and not only did none of them taste similar to each other, but they also tasted bad. I ended up trying to give them away to people who ultimately threw them out because they can notice the change too. I'm done wasting my money on these.

Product has changed & it is not good! I keep buying different tubs hoping it was a mistake but nope they're just terrible now. Please change back to the old recipe.

Just bought this. Made 4 cookies. They smelled good, looked good, first bite was good, then HORRIBLE. Chemically flavor. Nothing like the ones I make from scratch with your recipe. I just threw the entire tub in the trash.

Can scoop how ever many cookies you want, and save some dough for later.

Upon finishing off a Tollhouse tub of cookie dough which I have been buying for years, I bought another and baked up a small batch and immediately noticed a significant change in the taste and texture of the cookies. They taste terrible. Whatever changes you’ve made to the original recipe, you need to change it back.
