The first option would be to put your ISP Router/modem into Bridge Mode and then connect to this router, and the Second Option would be if your service supports a Direct to Ethernet connection. For both options, you would need to contact your ISP to see if your service supports adding a Router. Q: Can I use the router without the "Nighhawk app" (plug+play)? Can the "Nighthawk app" be used (downloaded+controlled) from the computer not a cell phone?

And we only upgraded because we got a new modem to help with speed. It was easy to set up and install. Figuring out the Nighthawk app for all the installations was probably the most challenging for us seniors! But we managed!!
