Disappointing

Disappointing. I love the brand and have had good results with their other sunscreens so took a chance. I had hoped with its pink packaging that it would smell good, maybe like grapefruit, but no. Its scent isn’t memorable, but not like regular sunscreen. I don’t mind the peachy tint it is when you pour it out of the bottle because it lets you avoid that terrible white cast most sunscreen has. I didn’t have any issues with my eyes that some reviewers noted. However. It’s always excessively runny, even after shaking it up. A lot comes out and it doesn’t rub in well. I haven’t had it long at all but the tube already feels light and closer to empty than it should. It does NOT feel like a cream or even much like a lotion, if feels like a watered down tinted moisturizer, if that. I brought it with me to an amusement park so I could reapply after a few hours, as you’re supposed to with sunscreen, and this time it was not only crazy runny still but had separated badly. I can only describe the parts of separation as one part oily (as in a face oil, not a cooking oil) and greasy and the other part pigmented, rolled up bits that smelled like what you think of when you think of sunscreen. I realize that I took it to a hot environment rather than in my medicine cabinet at home, but seeing as it’s sunscreen, you’d think it would do fine in heat. I didn’t get sunburned when wearing it so it did its job in that sense but i will definitely not be repurchasing, even though I expect I’ll finish up this tube very soon.

I love this new sunscreen. It has a great smell and texture. The color is a peachy color so it does not leave white residue everywhere. It goes on easily and absorbs quickly. It works well and can be used on sensitive skin. I will buy this again.

Read reviews before using

Literally horrible. I wish I would’ve read the reviews before purchasing. Usually do but I was out of town and picking up some essentials from Target and came across this and hardly read it… saw 60+ and “NEW” so I figured I’d try it. I usually like Neutrogena sunscreens and they’re a pretty safe option. Not this one. All of the reviews say “not for face” and I wish I would’ve read that prior to using on my face! The skin on my face is horribly irritated- puffy eyes and very dry scaly skin under my eyes… dried out my skin very badly. Do not use this on your face. Probably safe on the rest of your body but I’m not even willing to try. This is day 3 of not using this sunscreen and my face is still irritated and puffy. Weird orange tint to sunscreen and not sure why that is necessary. Kind of pricey but I overlooked the price because I know Neutrogena is typically good.

Burns Eyes

At first I loved how this was easy to apply like a face moisturizer. It was sheer with no white cast. After reapplying after a couple of hours later by the pool it caused horrible stinging in my eyes. I didn’t even apply it around my eyes. I cleaned my face, flushed my eyes with water and used eye drops. The stinging lasted for hours. I have never had a reaction to anything like this.

This has the weirdest gritty texture and leaves a terrible “after-feel” (best way I can describe it) on your hands and skin after applying. Cannot believe it has 4 stars…

when you first out it on it's fine, it smells like almost a tropical scent.. then 5 minutes after you rub it into your face it burns ur eyes and you have to consistently wash it . then the next day (today) it gave me hives! all over my face . there very itchy, at first I thought they were bug bites, then I noticed all the reviews on the sunscreen. My face is red and swollen right now, ALSO don't put it on your ears ! it'll make them swollen aswell. this is not a face- friendly product but it can be a lower body friendly product 2/10 stars.

It's not awful, but it did give me hives. It also peels off if you rub it in too much.

I really liked the texture and finish of this sunscreen but it smells like a bottle of bath and body works sweet pea was dumped in it. So very scented. Not sure why companies continue to do this.

While this sunscreen feels good, as someone who is scent sensitive, I will not be able to use it. Disappointing because I've always looked to Neutrogena for quality products that won't irritate me. I hope they stop adding this terrible floral scent to their products in the near future

Gave me an allergic reaction both times I used this sunscreen. I had to wash my face and take baby wipes to my body at the side of the road to wash it off and take diphenhydramine to relieve the reaction.

Allergic Reaction

1 out of 5 stars
Syd101 - 5 months ago

I usually use Neutrogena for sunscreen, and this one gave me an allergic reaction. My eyes got puffy, I couldn't keep them open, and no I didn't get this product in my eyes. I tried washing my eyes out and it was not helping. Finally I took baby wipes we had with us and washed my face and took 2 benadryls. Finally got relief. This happened twice and the second day I realized it was the sunscreen and thats when I washed it off and took medication. I used a different brand sunscreen the next time, and nothing happened, no reaction.
