Did not work for me.
Hello everyone, I'm in my mid 20s and have been suffering with what I believe to be dandruff for about 4 years. It used to be thick, this shampoo made it appear like a bunch of white dots. Not terrible, but it did not work. My mom sent me a shampoo called Medicasp and that's been the only shampoo to get rid of my dandruff. After only 2 washes. They sell it in the US with lower % of the active ingredient but it still works, don't give up! I was sad this neutrogena shampoo couldn't help because the yuka app rated it as good unlike medicasp, but it doesn't matter in the end because it didn't solve my problem. I didn't return it because I knew they'd just toss it out so I decided to keep it in case I ever run out or if I can find someone else who would like to try it. No luck for me.

Effective for mild scalp itch and dandruff
Neutrogena scalp therapy shampoo is a good option for someone with mild itchy scalp and dandruff. The cost is average compared to other similar products. I would prefer if packaging could be taller instead of wide, as it a bit hard to store in my shower.

My eczema likes this for only a few days. It scores well on the Yuka app and doesn’t have the hormone disrupters that Head & Shoulders has. It doesn’t tingle, unfortunately. I’m going to continue using it until I find something better. I have coily hair.

Mostly a miss for me
I have a very itchy scalp during the dry winter months and decided to give this a try. Unfortunately it wasn’t my favorite. It did an okay job at helping the dandruff and itchiness, but I’ve found other brands do a better job for my needs. I also really disliked the scent—to me it smelled like perfume trying to cover up a stale cigarette smell. I will not purchase again.

Go for the T Sal instead
Smells horrible. It’s as if you mixed half a dozen perfumes that were all very different, and poured it into this shampoo. It’s such an odd smell, I can’t even describe it. But it works well. However, the Salicylic Acid % is less than the T Sal Neutrogena shampoo, which works better (and is unscented). Go for the T Sal if you have a choice.

If you have serious dandruff, it's not for you!
First couple washes, I thought it was making a difference, because it helped with itchy scalp a little bit but doesn't get rid of dandruff. My scalp does fine the first day of shampoo, but itching is also back the next day or so. I still have to shampoo every other day to avoid getting too much dandruff built up in my head. It is relatively easy on your hair, doesn't dry that much if you couple it with conditioner and maybe serum.

Just okay as a dandruff shampoo. It’s better than nothing, but definitely doesn’t eliminate dandruff or scalp itch. If your case is mild, it’s probably fine. I won’t repurchase.

My 14 year old daughter has been using this shampoo for dandruff care and it has really worked wonders for her scalp. It has reduced the itchiness due to dry scalp and flaking as well. Well and reasonably priced. This shampoo has no to very little scent and doesn’t strip the hair of its natural oils. Dandruff free scalp for all hair types!

I purchased this for my son and it honestly works better than the more expensive ant-dandruff shampoos and smells waaaaaaay better. He has seen a reduction in itching and flakes. I appreciate that it’s in a larger bottle which is definitely giving you more bang for your buck!
