Q: Can This product be used for cradle cap removal for a baby

A: Cradle cap isn't exema or psoriasis. So this is too strong for baby's hair. You would be best to rub baby oil in the cradle cap. Let it sit and when softened, gently take baby's comb and lightly run along scalp and the cradle cap will lift off in pieces. You may need to add more baby oil. Caution it doesn't run. And dont use too much as you do need to wash it out. It is a chore to keep up with. But, I survived 3 kids. :) this is the best way

This shampoo is okay for controlling buildup - it does help with flakiness after a few uses. The texture is thin and doesn't lather much, which feels a bit weird. The scent is very clinical and not pleasant at all. While it gets the job done, the price feels a bit high for what you get. The packaging is simple and functional. What's most important to know? It helps with scalp buildup but has a strong medicinal smell and doesn't feel luxurious to use.

I will be crushed if this is discontinued. It makes me hair so soft and helps remove dandeuff without causing firther irritation from fragrance. Its hard to find dandruff shampoo that doesnt dry put my hair or have FRAGRANCES that IRRITATE my slin. This stuff has been a game changer

Gentler than T/Gel, with a lighter scent but slowe
The Neutrogena T/Sal Shampoo feels gentler than the original T/Gel. While it doesn’t act as quickly, it still helps with scalp build-up over consistent use. The scent is lighter and more pleasant compared to T/Gel, and it fades after rinsing. and the formula spreads easily without too much foam. Best of all, the price is very reasonable for the quality you get.

I love this product don't get me wrong works well but I really really love the extra strength. I can't find it no where anymore. My daughter has really bad build up and with the extra strength with one or two washes I wouldn't have to use it for months. With the regular I have to use for every wash still works well but I really miss the extra strength.

It MELTED my hair off halfway down the strands!
I followed the directions, did 2 washes & rinses, saw lots of hair in the sink but thought it was shedding. a lot of My hair is gone from ear level down, though my hair is actually down past my shoulders. How could this happen?! So upset! (My hair is not processed at all, not dyed or colored.) I look like a man now!

Great for eczema on the scalp
I have well water (hard water) which has caused scalp irritation resulting in eczema at the base of my scalp. My eczema has reduced considerably after using this two to three times a week. The directions say to wash your hair twice but I only wash it once and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes, rinse and apply conditioner as usual. I used it three times a week initially and now I use it even less as it's not needed due to its efffectiveness. I am thankful it is fragrance free as I already have sensitive skin and have to avoid fragranced products on the market. I don't have and have never had dandruff. This was recommended by a dermatologist specifically for eczema and works great. I highly recommend.

it works!
not going to lie i was scared to try this product out because of the bad reviews i read, but if you are following the directions on the bottle it works! it did what i wanted it to do, which was get rid of my dandruff. i wash 2x with this and then wash 1x with my regular shampoo.

This is great for removing build-up on my scalp. It helps prevent flakes and gets rid of dandruff. It has 3% Salicylic acid. I use it when my scalp starts itching after using a lot of different products. It relieves itch and removes excess buildup. It is gentle and keeps working after I have rinsed it off. It is fragrance and alcohol free.

Love this and the price is inflated
This is a perfect product in my view. No fragrance and has salicylic acid to gentlly exfoliate scalp and prevent oilyness. I love it. However the price is now ridiculous for such a tiny bottle. We used to be able to buy a bottle twice this size for the same price and stores had store brand dupes for even less. Two dollars an ounce for a shampoo that has been around for decades? Come on, Neutrogena, it's not like you are trying to recoup product development costs for a new product in 2025. Please offer this in a 10+ ounce bottle and I'll consider buying it again. Until then, I'll buy another brand which has fragrance but at least I don't feel ripped off.

T/sal Works very wELL, BUT you must use a conditioner like vanicare gentle with it because your hair gets very dry. the smell of t/sal shampoo is horrible enough that a woman behind me in line told me I smelled horrible and asked if I had just sealed my driveway !!!!!!!!! mIND YOU, i HAD JUST SHOWERED USING NON SCENTED SOAP, had ON CLEAN CLOTHES, AND NO PERFUME. THE SMELL WAS COMING FROM MY HAIR. WHEN I GOt TO MY DAUGHTER'S HOUSE, SHE SAID OMG YOU STINk, did you just go by an area being paved? I ASKED HER TO SMELL MY HAIR. SHE WAS LITERALLY SO GROSSED OUT WE HAD TO SIT OUTSIDE. I now know i can only use it if i am in my home without visitors!! fix the smell and you would have a great product. It is very offensive. so, although the product works great, the smell has me giving it only 3 stars, otherwise it would have been 5 stars.
