Before using this product, read the enclosed user's guide for complete directions and other important information begin using the gum on your quit day. If you smoke your first cigarette within 30 minutes of waking up, use 4 mg nicotine gum. If you smoke your first cigarette more than 30 minutes after waking up, use 2 mg nicotine gum according to the following 12 week schedule: week 1 to 6: 1 piece every 1 to 2 hours; weeks 7 to 9: 1 piece every 2 to 4 hours; weeks 10 to 12: 1 piece every 4 to 8 hours. Nicotine gum is a medicine and must be used a certain way to get the best results. Chew the gum slowly until it tingles. Then park it between your cheek and gum. When the tingle is gone, begin chewing again, until the tingle returns. Repeat this process until most of the tingle is gone (about 30 minutes). Do not eat or drink for 15 minutes before chewing the nicotine gum, or while chewing a piece. To improve your chances of quitting, use at least 9 pieces per day for the first 6 weeks. If you experience strong or frequent cravings, you may use a second piece within the hour. However, do not continuously use one piece after another since this may cause you hiccups, heartburn, nausea or other side effects. Do not use more than 24 pieces a day. It is important to complete treatment. If you feel you need to use the gum for a longer period to keep from smoking, talk to your health care provider. To increase your success in quitting: 1. You must be motivated to quit. 2. Use enough - chew at least 9 pieces of nicorette gum per day during the first six weeks. 3. Use long enough - use nicorette gum for the full 12 weeks. 4. A lot of chewing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I figured I would give this a try. I have been smoking for quite a long time now and wanted to see if this would work to stop. The packaging is simple. Flavor is nice which I was surprised with. The amount of fun that comes in the box is a lot but you have to chew a lot for the dosage. With how much gum you have to chew for me it was kinda uncomfortable with the constant chewing especially at work. If you are looking to stop smoking I would say give it a try but it isn’t for me personally.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This gum has been a life saver. I’ve been looking to quit smoking for a few months but hadn’t taken the leap. Luckily I was able to get my first pack of gum to start my smoking secession before the holidays. The gum itself has a good texture and flavor, I honestly forgot it’s not just regular gum. The packaging is a little strange since it’s just a cardboard box but I haven’t had a spill or any tearing. Overall I’m extremely happy with the progress Nicolette has made with ending my era of smoking. I highly recommend you try this if it’s also your time to quit.

Reliable refreshing

Love the flavor it’s strong and I like that its very fruity and kind of minty as well. I will say the texture is a bit tougher than regular gum but you get used to it. I would have preferred a smaller packaging to fit better in pockets.

After chewing the gum I felt like I didn’t want a cigarette for over an hour so I think the gum is effective. The gum is expensive, but so is smoking, both in terms of the product and your health, so I think it’s a good value. I plan to continue using it as I quit smoking.
