I bought my first Niteize phone case five or six years ago. I have two of these cases one that I wear for work and one that I use when I’m not working at my handyman/carpentry job. I have experienced the Velcro failure that other people doing reviews have also commented on. The most recent one was perhaps a year and a half ago and on that occasion, I was in communication with your warranty department and sent them photos of the phone case and the faulty Velcro strips. They provided me a new phone case and here we are again. One of the questions that I ask them at that time was how long is it reasonable for these phone cases to last? I never got a response to that. Everything that is man-made has a useful life, but what is it for this phone case? In my work, I am constantly bending over and with the ineffective Velcro, I frequently have my phone falling out of the case, and/or my clutch battery back up that I carry behind the elastic partition. My question today is the design team at your company, listening to the customer reviews and concerns that have been expressed? The quality of the case itself, excluding the Velcro of course, is very good quality, but the quality of the case in fact is diminished by the quality of the Velcro that you use. You can see by my photo that my case is in good condition but if you take a careful look at the Velcro, you can see that the strip on the case, as compared to the portion on the cover, is not looking good. Maybe it is the opposite portion that is on the cover itself that has lost its fuzzy condition and or been worn out, but one way or the other it is not attaching properly and securely. Before I buy another new case, I will be in contact with your company. As to my willingness to recommend this case to others, I have mixed feelings. I have recommended it previously and people have purchased it, but given the fact that I’m disappointed, and many of your customers have commented on the same Velcro problem, it makes me wonder how many people are satisfied?

I've had my case for a bit over 6 months. Really needs the flap to cover the whole opening to keep out water. The other problem is that the velcro on the flap is now missing about half of its velcro.

-- Case is super strong. Nobody is going to be able to snatch it off your belt. Velcro latch is terrible. Doesn't stay closed. Needs a Magnetic latch.

It's the only case that I have found to fit my 1.5" belts and my S23+ in a protective case. It holds securely but... quality is not as good as it used to be. I had one where the Velcro stopped holding after only a few weeks. Both it and my current one have loose threads hanging. Cut them and the thing falls apart. Burning with a lighter seems to work better. But, there should not be loose thread to start with. Get the quality to where it should be and it will be awesome.

I have gone through several phone holsters in the past and this one lasts the longest.

I have been using a clip case (Camouflage design) awesome, so durable. Still going strong, even with daily usage carrying two cell phones! in just one clip case) obviously the looks have dampened. Need a new one I don't see this design anymore !! (Par N1-Co)

I love these so much I wear them out. Use them every day and everywhere I go. I have never sat on my phone with these or put the phone in the laundry.

You cannot remove the phone case without taking your belt off

Great product, very secure, won't slip off your belt. I also appreciate the two compartments, great for holding band-aids, cards, cash or whatever. I have been using this product in one size or another for 5 or 6 years.

Sturdy case that holds my phone securely. Also has a small pocket that comes in handy.

This is a very rugged phone case holds up in the workplace of a mechanic.

I bought a sideways cell phone clip case about 6 months ago. I use it daily to protect my iphone 15. The stitching that holds the Velcro fastener to the case is letting go. See photo. This is my third side ways clip case. The Velcro fasteners do not hold up well. Sorry to say so since Niteize makes great products. I own several other Niteize tool belt products all are great. I've had 6 of these phone cases they last along time until the velcro wears out I've replaced the velcro on them but I'm no seamstress I'm a heavy equipment operator and when my phone falls out it usually gets ran over or buried so if you could only figure out a different clasp you would have a winner Digger Dave

I absolutely loveeee these cases, this is my 2nd one but only because I’ve nearly worn the first one out over 7 years of daily use (I still use the old one for yard work). The quality and ruggedness of these cases make them worth every penny.

Best phone case ever. Due to my eyes, had to go to a conventional flip phone some time ago. My velcro is worn out, but I cannot find a replacement case in a smaller size. Why can't you make a short run of all sizes once again to help service folks that still need a smaller case?

Bought my third Universal Rugged Holster a few months ago. I've bought three over the last 14 years. This holster really protects my iPhone. I own a farm and the last thing I need is to lose my phone or have it damaged while working. Construction and material is solid, while the velcro does lose its hold after a few years (as expected for velcro), I just wrap a rubber band around the holster to secure it and I'm good for a few more years. Yes, after about 5 years the cloth stretches is why I bought new ones, still a good deal. Well worth the money given the cost of phones. I highly recommend this holster.

It has been the perfect phone case for me, as someone who is moving and bending and at times laying on my side under machinery this case protects my phone as it should

Bought this to hold my Samsung A14. The first one lasted a month or so before the velcro would not hold, and phone would fall out of case. Contacted Nite Ize and they were nice enough to send me a new case. The new one is a piece of trash as well! Velcro have out in no time. I will have to buy a new case. And it will never be a Nite Ize!

I've had Nite Ize cases for many years and have never been disappointed. They stand up to all kinds of abuse and always keeps the phone safe at my hip. I got the XXL version of the sideways case because I figured my phone would fit better (and it does). I had an XL version previously and it would have been a real snug fit so I'm glad I got the XXL version.
