Q: My nonstickimarku cast iron honeycomb skillet is no longer nonstick and food particles are embedded in the honeycomb surface. How do I clean it to remove the particles and resending the pan
A: Dear Customer, Thank you for reaching out! For cleaning your coated cast iron cookware, we kindly recommend avoiding steel wool or any hard scrubbing tools to protect the coating. Instead, you may use gentle methods such as: Mild cleaning: Apply a paste of baking soda and water to stains for 15 minutes, then wipe with a soft cloth or sponge. Alternatively, a 1:1 mixture of white vinegar and water can be boiled and left for 10 minutes before gently brushing. Gentle physical methods: Lightly rub with coarse salt on a slightly damp surface, or use a wooden spatula along the texture to remove minor residue without scratching. Stubborn stains: For burnt-on food, warm the pan and gently scrape with a wooden spatula before cleaning with baking soda. Acidic stains (from lemon or tomato) can be softened by briefly boiling in the pan. Daily care: Wipe the pan clean while warm, lightly coat with vegetable oil for protection, and store in a dry place with absorbent paper if possible. These tips help maintain your cookware in the best condition while ensuring its non-stick coating lasts longer.
